Awesome B&B. Great hosts. Great location.
One of the best trips we have ever had. Kurt and Kana made us feel at home. The Hawks nest room was beautiful with incredible views from the private deck. Kurt's knowledge of the area was very helpful and I enjoyed our morning conversations and getting to know the family. Kana's breakfast were a perfect blend of fruit with something different each day. Eggs, pancakes, muffins, etc. The fruit and coffee are grown on site. Our favorite memory is kayaking and snorkeling with dolphins in the bay, twice. Or maybe it was night snorkeling with Manta Rays. Kurt can hook you up with the right people....

The hotel is certainly accurately named--it was a very nervous drive up and down the "roads". Very nice view from the Crow's Nest.

Truly a beautiful edge of the world :)
Kurt and Kana are wonderful hosts. Kana cooks a delicious breakfast every morning. For example, one morning we had macadamia nut pancakes with homemade guava jam and an assortment of various tropical fruits. The breakfast was on the lanai overlooking their plantation and Kurt joined us to give recommendations and answer questions about the island. Kurt was also kind enough to give us a tour of his property and tell us about coffee and other plants on the property. Getting to the place can be a bit challenging: you drive on a one-lane road through a rainforest. Movie like, but can be a bit daunting at night. The house is close to the 2 best snorkeling spots on the island (Captain Cook and Two Step). One recommendation is to bring whatever toiletries you need, the bathroom only had soap (no shampoo/conditioner/lotion/etc). Also, there's a fan, but no A/C. There are some good food options a short drive away (particularly recommend Super J's for local Hawaiian food). There's also a supermarket a few mins away where you can get drinks if you want to bring food back and eat while enjoying the view and the sunset. Overall, a very unique place to stay on the island, highly recommend.
