Lovely beach, reasonable food but felt like a cheap cruise line. There was music blaring all day long so nowhere to go to just get quiet time. They advertised a free scuba lesson which was one reason I booked this place. They don't have any scuba there! We did use the free kayaks which was fun. Food was average. Staff were very nice. It just wasn't really our scene.

Pros: The staff were all amazing - Maricruz from the buffet was the sweetest lady ever, and Carlos from the Sports Bar was awesome, remembered us the whole time. From the Limon bar in the adults only pool, Liuana was amazing - she kept us well libated, serving new drinks as we were finishing our current ones without us even ordering -- definitely made the pool extra fun. Security was really on top of kids who weren't supposed to be in the adults-only pool and adults who'd had a little too much to drink and needed to go take a nap. The room was great and clean, the A/C worked perfectly. The shows every night were fun to watch and the kids that were there seemed entertained and engaged (I did not travel with children). Only Con: The Pacha Disco was very mediocre, the music wasn't great the first night we went, and it stank of vomit the second time we went so we didn't go back after that.

The hotel was nice, staff went above and beyond to make guests happy, clean rooms, nice beach, my only complaint is the food. Breakfast and lunch only buffet option and the food was the same everyday. Very blend, huge lines, and just not great. Dinner time we went to the specialty restaurants which had better quality food. Overall we enjoyed our stay but got super tired of the same meals.

Although hotel staff did not speak English, they were very nice and tried their best to help. Great place for family and children. Main dining room food was not so great. The resort is approximately 2 hours from airport and 2 hours away from major events. Transportation to major attractions is very costly, approximately $125 per person.

Great hotel, staff super friendly but the front desk can't help with riu class concerns so that was not a good experience. Hotel is great, but location is not the best for international tourists. Panama city Airport is about 2.5 to 3 hours away depending on the traffic. Hotel doesn't provide shuttle when you book through Expedia, so expect to pay $75-80 per adult.
