Location excellent!
Excellent location to Tran station, local transportation, and city sites. Fabulous, free to use, in house spa. Helpful staff for navigating the city. Pasmo Card makes it easy to pay transport. Breakfasts were delicious.

Convenient hotel to Kyoto Station
Convenient location to the JR Kyoto station. A straight 10 minute walk (although you just walk through the station quite a bit). It seems like the hotel offers to hold your luggages but it is placed in an open space in front of their front desk with visitor tags on them with dividers surrounding it). This may be a problem for some people (I paid for a coin locker to hold my luggage within the station for 700¥ until I was done shopping and ready to check into the hotel). The hotel offers free coffee and drinks at the lounge. At night each hotel occupant gets a free alcoholic beverage. Any drink after that costs a straight 500¥ (which is very cheap considering its size, and it tasted really good - I recommend the Plum and Lychee ones if you like fruity mixed drinks). The area outside the lounge was beautiful with the lights but I couldn't sit out there because of the rain. The room was very clean. Wooden floors. Clean, modern restroom but no ventilation. Provides Shiseido shampoo and conditioner which is a huge plus. I didn't use their robes and slippers so I can't comment on that. There is a coin washer/dryer on sight but it was all used when I checked. They offer a public onsen but didn't get the chance to use that, or try their breakfast. The front desk spoke English well too. Location made it easy to travel around Kyoto.

Many creature comforts with a decent onsen that features a hot water pool, cold water pool, and a sauna. Unlimited coffee and tea in the lobby is great, but not so great that it's off limits during breakfast time (unless you buy the morning breakfast).

Access to subway and train station - convenient
Close to subway, and train station. Every night you come back to the hotel and given a complimentary drink at the bar. I will recommend this hotel in Kyoto.
