Views amazing; Service poor; No-one spoke English
The room was clean and fairly tidy. The view from the room was amazing. However, the wifi included in your room fare was non existent and when I rang reception to see if it could be fixed, I was told they were busy and it was a peak time so i should wait an hour and try again. When I informed reception that I had been trying regularly for over 24 hours she said we a re nearly fully booked the bandwidth can't cope - although the language she used was much simpler this is what she meant. Two of the three days I was there I had a cold shower. I thought maybe it was a one of on the first day, especially as the shower was nice and hot the second day (I had my shower much earlier in the morning) - but then on the third day cold again ? running out of hot water because they were busy. The poolside bar has lost its liquor license apparently - the staff were telling a group of other guests. They had some Tiger beer but once that was gone there wouldn't be anymore alcohol. The glasses I used in my room weren't cleaned each day when the room was made up and there were ants in them. So I just stuck to bottled water. The breakfast wasn't great - preferred to skip breakfast and eat later. one example of what was available was "mashed potato with brown sauce". Apparently the hotel is the most popular hotel for people from Oman to stay at and there was a large middle eastern contingent at the hotel. I didn't come across any English speaking guests whilst I was there.

Poor
Not a relaxing hotel for adults
The hotel had fabulous views but was manic and rough around the edges! The welcome area is large but was busy and loud. The entrance to the dining room at breakfast time resembled a high school dining room with a lady seated to collect meal tickets. She rudely nodded in the direction of the dining areas and said in a rough manner- buffet! The tables allowed little privacy. It was manic with adults and children rushing around and grabbing food. The food was placed in a central aisle which encouraged people to push and rush. The range of food was quite varied but presentation was poor. The room was loud and frantic- not the relaxing holiday we were looking for. A hotel bar is non existent. I was directed to a small outdoor snack bar where only beer was served. It was a small can of Carlsberg which was handed to me to pour myself. Children ran noisily everywhere- they are children and on holiday which is great - just not the relaxing langkawi dream we were looking for. Adult guests were rude- pushing in the lifts and not moving to allow us out. The room was spacious and well furnished, however the patio door lock was broken, the towels were very thin and the bedding was an “off white “ colour. We stayed one night and promptly moved to another hotel. I lost 4 days hotel costs - sad- but my choice to leave!

Okay hotel with great view
Overall bit disappointed in our stay. Check in started off badly when our room had been given away to another family. This was around 11pm and altbough they tried to give us a room at the side of the hotel for one night and mive us again was all a bit inconvenient. Nontheless we agreed as apparently there were no more rooms only to find dirty sheets with stains in this room. We then get a call to say there isnone room with the sea view we had originally booked. We mive at around midnight and once again find stained sheets to which response is 'it doesnt come off'..not really acceptable in our eyes. Apartment style rooms stated to be comfortable for 4 adults plus one child. I would have to disagree..max i would say 3 adults and one child... Rooms in their own right have a grwat view with a balcony. Pool areas are nice although there was a lingering smell around pool areas... Some decent passtines with table tennis, pool etc and some decent food eateries around area.. However biggest disappointment was the breakfast. By far the worst i have had... Overall not the worst stay i have had but coukd have been better with better organisation.. And please invest in some new clean bedsheets and covers...

Mostly Fabulous
We wanted a 2 bedroom apartment that would accommodate my adult niece and her partner in one room and myself in another. This worked out well for us but those bringing young children be aware. The second room is actually a separate ‘hotel’ style room next door to the one bedroom apartment. There is a small private foyer area connecting the 2 but that area is separated from the public hallway by a lockable gate. We like all the facilities in the room with exception to the bathrooms. A bit on the basic side. The balcony and kitchenette was fabulous. The pool area was lovely along with other facilities. It was a 5 minute walk to a shopping mall. There’s not much more in the immediate area. We were worried about obtaining transport from the hotel to different areas but there were private cars with drivers at the front door every time we needed one. The 2 different drivers that we used were brilliant. Overall it was a good stay but the bathroom facilities would put me off staying here again.

Great hotel for families
Hotel location is a little far, but not a problem if driving, and hotel has a big sheltered car park. They have good swimming pool for kids, but pity it was under maintenance when we were there. We were unhappy because didn't get any information when we booked the hotel from Expedia. Lucky their staff free upgraded our room to suite room, which has one living room, one bedroom and a nice balcony:) The overall environment is quite nice. The hotel is at the seaside but with no beach because of the rocks. Rooms have sea view and free wifi, but no bottle water. You can buy from the Langkawi Parade shopping mall, which is only 3 mins walking from hotel. We like their balcony with the small kitchen. One night we just use the oven reheat some pizza we took away from lunch, drinking beer with the sunset on the sea, breeze was kissing the faces..
