Great stay!
We really enjoyed this hotel for the price it’s a really good deal! The location is so perfect because you are right in the middle of city near the clock tower. Everything is a short walk away so it’s very convenient! There is also a grocery store right beside it which is nice. The one thing we didn’t like was the fact that we had to get someone to open the door every time we came back it was inconeveniet but I understand why they have it at least it feels more safe! The room was nice too really clean. Our room was facing the street so it can get a bit loud at night until about 3am didn’t really bother us but some People may not like that. Overall I would definitely come back again!

A nice hotel that could use keys to the front door
It is a very nice building on a busy street near the clock tower (and literally next door to a supermarket) that is the main entrance to the old city. At $135/night we thought it was a great value. The only real problem was the lack of a responsive concierge or front desk type professional. We had questions about tours and options for the cab to the airport and getting information took a long time. They also don't do daily housekeeping unless you leave your room unlocked when you leave, which was weird. You also have to escorted in and out of the building - you don't get a key to the front door which is kept locked 24/7. That was less of an issue than you'd think, if you knocked on the staff door there was always someone around, but better hope there is never a fire. The rooftop pool is tiny but refreshing. A potential issue is that it was just deep enough for my 4' 11" wife to have difficulty lifting herself out of it. However, overall, the rooftop was a nice asset where you could read or watch the condors up close. The shower in our room (Hindu) needs a new head but again, it was fine. The bed was extraordinary. The air conditioning was so powerful we had to turn it down a few times. The fridge and kitchen were very helpful even if we never made a full meal. The street noise is pretty pronounced all the time. If you want a quiet corner, don't stay there. We liked being in the active section, however.
