Only 2 staff members were present during my stay. One of them didn't speak English or Japanese, making communication very difficult. The rooms had no TV or furniture other than the beds and a single nightstand. I don't mind simple, no-frills hotels. But for the price - over $50 a night - it simply wasn't worth it. On the plus side, the room was clean and had a nice view of the ocean (I had a single, but they upgraded me to a bigger room), and the hotel restaurant offers some excellent Vietnamese food.

Excellent value
This spotlessly clean hotel is run by Kazu, who speaks English and is a great cook. He and his small staff were eager to do whatever they could to make our stay better. We went snorkelling at a beach in the northwest of the island - staff dropped us off and picked us up. Other guests went hiking and fishing with a guide (choice of Japanese or American). The hotel is not near anything but everyone seemed happy to stay in at night because the food was so good. Aircon in the rooms worked well, perfect for a siesta during hot afternoons. The only downside is that the beach in front of the hotel is not very appealing, particularly at low tide. We would gladly go back!

Lovely stay on the beach
We stayed at this hotel for 6 nights. This hotel is situated right at the beach. There are some houses next to the hotel, but the village is 2 kilometres away. The staff is very friendly and allways ready to meet your requirements such as driving you any place you want at any time. They serve Nice and tasty food, which has never been the same during our stay. We recommend the Japanese style breakfast. yum!

beautiful bays, a bit remote, ok hotel
The location is scenic. The staff (cook and receptionist) were helpful and friendly. I enjoyed my stay with them. The hotel facilities were basic. The view from the dining room bar was beautiful with a beach and bay to walk along or swim in. You needed a car or a bus to go to places. It is a quiet location.

Remote hotel in quiet bay
A small hotel right at the beach in a nice bay. It is located on northern part of Iriomote island. It is not far from a bus stop but it would be good to have your own transportation. The room was clean but basic and had no WiFi. That was only available in the common area downstairs. I had good meals in the hotel itself.

Personnel sympa, mais : hotel vraiment trés cher pour trés peu de services et une chambre pas pratique. Pas de rangement, pas de penderie. Petit déjeuner non compris, étonnant à ce prix. Rideaux déchirés, rideau de douche sale, moisi. Pas d'éclairage à notre étage, il fallait utiliser les portables. Hotel limite, à 30 euros en Thaïlande, oui, mais à 145 euros au Japon, ça ne les vaut pas. Bien situé, c'est tout. Nous avons séjourné à la pension Hoshinosuna, bien mieux. Attention pour la baignade, j'ai vu 2 serpents dans l'eau...

オーナー不在でホテルも閉まっていました
タイトル通りです。ホテルに着いたら電気も消えており、玄関も鍵が閉まっており、インターホンも壊れておりで八方塞がりでした。結局近隣の方に色々ご迷惑をおかけして連絡を取ってもらい判明したことは、「オーナーは2日後（帰る前日）まで海外旅行で不在」「ベトナムの女性がいるが言葉が通じず何も出来ない」でした。 対応出来る方がいないので、部屋には案内して貰いましたが食事は自分で何とかしなければならず、調理場と冷蔵庫の中身を適当に使って良いと言われましたがろくな物も無く、油こってりのフライパンや埃被った食器、ゴキブリの徘徊する調理場で何とかご飯を作り過ごしました。 電気は通っていたので助かりましたが、ガスが通っておらず、結局風呂は、宿泊の間は水で何とかしないといけないなど散々な目に遭いました（オーナーが帰って来ても結局使用不可）。 一応泊めては頂いたので大きな事は言えませんが、返金してもらっても良いんじゃないかと思ったりしました。一昨年は対応が良かっただけに非常に残念です。まぁオーナーが変わってしまったので仕方ないのかも知れませんが。投稿出来ない文章かも知れませんが真実なので一応記載しておきます。

静かなビーチに面した隠れ家的なホテル
ホテルのすぐ前がほとんどプライベートビーチのようで、すばらしい景色が広がっている。泳ぐこともできるし、シュノーケリングもよいだろう。圧倒的に良いロケーションである。オーシャンビューの部屋から、すばらしい景観が目の前に広がる。波の音や虫の鳴き声ぐらいしか、聞こえてこない。時折、近くの公民館から三線の音が響いきて、癒やされる。部屋はユニットバスがついているが、お湯を出しても１０分程度待たないと熱くはならない。ここでは、すべてがのんびりしている。部屋にはクローゼットやゴミ箱も無いが、眠るだけならば十分。車で５分ほどのところにスーパーがあるので、そこで空箱をもらってくればゴミ箱ができる。食堂にはいつも停まったままの壁時計が「ここでは時間を忘れなさい！」と主張している。少なくともauの携帯はつながるし、、インターネット接続も無料でさせてもらえる。
