We'd book it for every Amsterdam stay if we can
We loved out stay with Cityden. We travelled with our 2 small children, so we needed a place that felt more like a home than a room, and this was it. We had a large living/dining/kitchen area with 3 big windows overlooking the canal (Keizersgracht). 2 bedrooms, updated bathroom, full laundry, dishwasher, stove/oven, Nespresso machine, refrigerator, great wifi that you only had to log onto once, not repeatedly like most hotels. The neighborhood is perfect, it's just out of the way, so it's quiet and mostly locals walking by, but you could walk 1 or 2 blocks over and be right in the hustle and bustle of Amsterdam, or up the other way and quickly be in the Jordaan. Every night, we'd put the kids to bed, then head to front of the apt, pop the window open and have a glass of wine overlooking the canal. We'd book this room for every Amsterdam trip if possible. Well done!

Good 6.0
rooms for improvement
location was fair. yet there were lots of insects in the neighborhood. everyone got more than 10 mosquitos bites after the stay. bedlinens were clean, but overall the apartment was full of stains, eg bath tubs, sinks and tables. The kettle was also in very bad condition which we avoided to use. Also, be aware that they only provide toiletries and tissue rolls for the first day.

Very Good 8.0
Serviceable though not luxurious
The good: Amsterdam is an amazing place and having an apartment in the city is a fantastic way to experience it. The apartment was spacious and clean, and the location is just about perfect. Walking distance to a lot of good things (museums, restaurants and shops etc..) but to really enjoy the city rent bikes (rental place close called black bikes). The building is old and beautiful. I would definitely stay there again. The worth noting: There are lots of stairs, small narrow, steep stairs to get to the apartment. It was not a problem for us, but if it would be a problem for you I suggest you find another place. The ceilings are thin, and by that I mean that you can hear the people above enter or leave and walk around. During the day it is just the sound of people living but can be a bit much if the people above come home at 5 AM. Also others will hear you and there is a no party policy. The bad: The maintenance of the amenities is not good. The dishwasher did not work, nor did the toaster most of the time, the shower head was mostly clogged and the tap had a piece missing. We called about the dishwasher and were told they were going to send someone by, we made time for it, but then it never happened. It did not ruin our stay but it was irksome, especially considering that a previous review said the machine was not working and it apparently had never been fixed. That and they left us a watered down bottle of dish washing liquid that just felt like an insult.
