About The High Line Hotel, New York

Historic Chelsea building
The High Line hotel is a striking landmark, thanks to its location in a former seminary in the heart of Chelsea’s buzzing gallery district. The celebrated elevated High Line Park is right across the street, continuing the vibrant, open spaces of the hotel’s front and rear gardens. There are private indoor and outdoor event spaces, as well as 8 large meeting rooms, and a ballroom that holds up to 275 people.

World-class nightlife

Chelsea Piers, just a couple of blocks away at the edge of the Hudson, offers an unrivaled choice of sports and activities. For gourmands, Chelsea Market will prove irresistible. Guests and locals alike enjoy New York’s first Intelligentsia Coffee location, and a full bar in the evening.

The High Line Hotel, New York
The hotel had our room on the first floor and it was beyond loud. Our room (L7) was right next of the restaurant and they were cleaning up late at night which made it so hard to sleep. They also have 0 room service and their coffee bar closes at 7PM so there is no way to get any type of refreshments. They have some stuff in the room but so does every other hotel. Not even close to worth the price. Very nice building and great area but terrible service and 0 services. Waste of money.

Tons of potential but ultimately a let down
I was walked in on twice by staff. I was in the shower, the other while I was in the bed. I was awakened around 10pm for turn down service as well. I was put next to the cafe so I was awakened at 6am-ish while they were setting up for the day. I talked to the manager and he kindly moved me to another room which was much better but then when I left they charged me for the mini bar that the occupant before me had. I wrote them about the incident and received an email back about them dealing with the mistake but haven't heard back. Hotel wise, it has character but it needs an update. The staff as a whole was nice but the hotel at this time doesn't warrant the price. The restaurant is practically non-existent and the food is average. Too many other hotels around that have it all and warrant the price.

High Line Happy
Very friendly staff! Love the coffee bar in the lobby, outdoor French bistro, back patio, convenient location to the high line and Chelsea market and reciprocal with Equinox! Would definitely stay again. Only negative was a clogged shower drain which was addressed upon complaint.
