Fair 4.0
Sleepless at The Highline!
Our room was very loud on the 1st floor (10 & 11) - windows faced major, busy 10th avenue, as well as the courtyard that services as both an early am coffee area and late night bar area. Lights are kept on all night to encourage “lingering”, let alone the curtains do not completely block the light. The 1st floor rooms are also directly above the kitchen and inside bar, with an open staircase leading directly up to the rooms - sound traveling. Complaints and request to move rooms made, but hotel was full and no accommodations could be made until our last night of four. Spent over $3500 for little sleep ... could and should have stayed somewhere else

Good 6.0
Great location but some updates needed
We stayed at the High Line Hotel while attending an event at Chelsea Piers so the location can't be beat and the staff was lovely. Great water pressure in the shower and extensive minibar if that's your kind of thing. We did have to fight over the one bathrobe. But my biggest complaint is the bed: uncomfortable, squeaky, and we kept rolling into the middle - clearly they need some mattress updates. All the lighting in the entire place - hallways, elevators, rooms - is incredibly dark. I know this is a stylistic choice but I really didn't like it.

Great boutique hotel
Very accommodating to my request for a quiet room--which was courtyard exposure on top floor. Staff was very helpful and pleasant.. Highly recommend--will definitely stay here again. Perfect location for most of our planned activities.

Very Good 8.0
I've been a fan of The High Line Hotel since they opened and always look forward to staying here. I'm afraid some of the romance wore off on my last stay. It's still a very cool, aesthetic property and the staff is very accommodating. The addition of the front patio was brilliant. The rooms, however, are showing their age and need some maintenance. My faucet in the bathroom was barely attached to the sink, which was mounted to the wall by a very messy 2 inches of caulk. This was in the room I chose to stay in after I rejected the first room because it smelled like mildew. Again, typically a great property, but it's time to spiff up.
