Nice Central Location
The hotel is in a good central location to all the popular sites of Rome. We walked from the train station (Termini) without an issue as well! The wifi signal was pretty weak in our room. The only other issue we had was that our room's windows opened up to the outdoor seating area of the hotel and we couldn't keep the windows open due to people smoking. (the room was pretty warm and we couldn't seem to get the thermostat to go lower so we were hoping to get some fresh air in the home) The breakfast was a great way to start the day and worth it! However, I will say that the hotel staff was not the friendliest we interacted with on this trip. (3 different hotel stays in 3 different cities in Italy)

Hotel dei Borgia
The location was perfect for visiting the sites. There are lots of great restaurants within walking distance. The room was nicely decorated and spotless. The wifi was fast and the staff were very pleasant. The breakfast buffet exceeded our expectations. We will stay here again the next time we're in Rome.

All great except wi-fi
This was my 2nd stay - I loved my 1st, but was a bit frustrated the 2nd time around with the Wi-Fi. It was not able to stay connected, and as I was on a work trip, this presented a big issue for me. I called down to ask about another room, but it was all full - they said with a hotel with as many rooms as they have, the wi-fi slows down to me when everyone arrives. I've stayed in hotels with 10-20 times as many rooms as this, and the wi-fi was great - seems to me they need to upgrade their system.

Modern but classic finishes for great value
My new go-to for stays in Rome. An easy enough walk from Termini, and close enough to lots of great places around for a very reasonable rate. Newly renovated, spotlessly clean, with a cozy bed and a perfectly quiet sleep even with my window cracked open (I was facing the courtyard). Breakfast is bountiful, varied, and delicious. Pleasant staff - and they even have a gym, though I was not there long enough to use it. Pleased!

Terrible security in an otherwise nice hotel
Do not stay here if you value your belongings. The facilities at Hotel Dei Borgia are very nice, but the hotel's glaring security issues and the staff's ambivalence towards them make this a 1 star hotel. As we were checking in, another guest came down to the front desk distraught that his laptop and camera had been stolen from his hotel room while he was at dinner. The concierge shrugged off his complaint and said he should have put the items in the safe in his room, to which the man responded that all of his valuables wouldn't fit in the small safe. The concierge then added that the man should have left them at the front desk instead, and basically acted like it was this man's fault his valuables got stolen. After that incident, we took great care to always use the safe and luckily all of our valuables did fit (just 2 laptops and passports and such). And we read through reviews of this hotel and found multiple other reports of stolen items. Every time we left our hotel room we had to be very careful to check that the door was securely closed because if you just let it swing closed, half the time it was not properly latched and could be pushed open without any key and without much force. Other than that, the bed was comfy, the room was spacious, the location was fine. But none of that was worth the unease every time you leave the room.
