The good outweighed the few issues
Our flight was delayed so I called ahead to let them know I would be late and they gave away our room so three adults had to take a room with one bed. We were given a different room the next day. On our second to last night the television stopped working. We called it in and reminded them the next morning. When we arrived our last night the tv was still broken. They simply offered us to change rooms which I did not want to do since we were leaving in the morning. The hotel was very nice but two mishaps and nothing was offered as compensation/courtesy. We may still book the hotel again but I was dissapointed in the lack of empathy.

Three days before my check in I was notified that my reservation could not not be honored. When I called to follow up, I was informed the reason was due to planned maintenance. It did not make sense as I booked my stay three months prior. If maintenance is planned, rooms should have been blocked accordingly. They offer to transfer my reservation to another Hyatt at an inconvenient location but I don’t have much choice, since I am in town for a wedding. I am transferred to Hyatt in Bayamon. The hotel was nice and the staff was friendly and helpful. However, there were issues at check in and check out due to the reservation not being transferred properly. If I am already being inconvenienced the least that could’ve been done is ensure I had a smooth transfer to the alternate hotel. The staff members at the Bayamon location had to sort out issues that should’ve never been issues. I later learned that there was no planned maintenance at Hyatt Manati but a private event the same weekend, resulting in paid reservations being transferred or canceled in order to accommodate those guests. The overall experience was terrible.
