Exceptional customer service!
The hotel is beautiful. The staff was exceptional, from the restaurant servers to the front desk. When we pulled in our taxi from the airport, they must have guessed who we were and addressed me by name, gave us glasses of lemonade and escorted us to the front desk. Our front desk lady checked us in and took us to our room to show us how everything worked. They had upgraded us to a "fitness" room that included an area to workout in, including a stationary bike and a weight machine. The shower had a steam bath function, that we didn't try. The room had a huge paneled walking closet, bigger then what we have at home. We also asked for restaurant recommendations from Federico, who happily sent us to places he frequents and where the local Romans go to, both were fantastic. I can't say enough about how good the staff was. They made us feel like royality!

Luxury in the Heart of Rome
This was the last leg of our two week Italian tour. We made no prior stay arrangements before leaving and pick this hotel while we were on the train heading to Rome. The hotel is immaculate and the service is of the highest caliber. The hotel is in an old government building, which has been completely redone. We stayed two nights and will be back the next time we are in Rome.

1st class service
When we 1st checked in to our deluxe room.I noticed right away the air was not working. The bell hop told me it takes time to come down. We went out for the night when we got back the temp never moved. We opened the windows since it was a cooler night. The next day we had tours all day. When I got back to the room I called down to the front desk to notify them of the situation. The manager Artem came up and immediately told us that he was going to give us a new room. The room they gave us happened to be one of the best rooms in the hotel, double bathroom, balcony overlooking looking downtown Rome. The service of this hotel is world class. I only wish I would have called them the 1st night.

Great hotel - not so perfect neighborhood
Perfect Hotel - not so perfect neighborhood. The SPA looked wonderful but I did not have time to go. Staff are really well trained and very helpful. The bar is fabulous, room design very modern, chic and very classy, bathrooms a dream come true. Next to Termini Station makes it perfect for people traveling by train. The neighborhood is not nice at all, I am afraid.

Overpriced and misleading
Hotels.com had a misleading summary of the property. The swimming pool (the reason for my booking the room) was really a tiny relaxation pool. Despite a very high room rate, use of the pool or spa created a 20 euro per person surcharge. Hotels.com also listed an airport shuttle which was not the case. For 110 euro one could be picked up or driven to the airport while a taxi ride cost 48 euro. Italian friends who live nearby and picked us up at the hotel had a chuckle as the building had apparently been a bordello in the past. The hotel is keeping that tradition by charging extra for everything.
