Never again!!
I did research the area somewhat before booking our stay here for 2 nights... Boy, was I off-base! The Union Cottage is NOT marked from the street, so we had difficulty finding it. Once there, we had great difficulty communicating with the manager - who does not stay on site. If we needed anything, we were given a phone number to call. My favorite part of Union Cottage: OUR ROOM HAD NO WINDOWS!!! Lighting was terrible, so room was already dark and we stayed in June, so we were dying in that sauna. Neighborhood is NOT good - walk to the Tube station more than half a mile. We stayed exactly ONE night and left as quickly as we could. Interior of Union Cottage also very dark, walls and doors very thin.

The hotel is simply someone's house in a sketchy neighborhood. I felt very unsafe there, as did my travel partner. Another group of guests chose to leave after one night for that reason. It was difficult to check in and out, and it took about 45 minutes to get to main attractions of London from the location. Would not recommend.

My review by Richard age 63
I booked this quite late there was no entry without phoning, parking was difficult, the place looked shabby. I have VAST experience of staying away away from home and paid £100 I would like it back.

Please do not use this hotel. Me and my girlfriend decided to stay out and get a hotel, rather then getting the last train home. When we arrived there was no one to let us in, only a phone number on the door. We rang the number and the man said we booked after 9 and it was too late. There we were in an unfamiliar area, searching our phones, for a taxi, which resulted in a hefty cab journey home!
