Fabulous staff
The start wasn’t great as we had asked for early check in and there was no room. Changing in the toilet following a flight for an appointment is not great. However, the staff are lovely, the food is great....but slow if you order by the pool and the rooms are spotless. Remember the time you check is in when you can checkout.....never seen it before but worth remembering if you want a late checkout. They have a great shuttle tuktuk to the mall and the water taxi is just down the road.

Poor
Horrible stay at U Sukhumvit Bangkok
Visited U Sukhumvit Bangkok from Dec 16-19, 2017 and everything went smoothly even though facilities were limited. It all went sour when we tried to check out and was late for our flight. It took the receptionist from 3pm on Dec 19th, over 15 minuted to liaise with housekeeping to check our rooms and to see whether they had to charge us. We did not use any of the minibar items and DID NOT TAKE ANYTHING. However, the receptionist told us that 2 mini towels were missing from the room, which was never replaced in the first place. They would not let us go and insisted we STOLE THE TOWELS. We were sure we saw 2 mini towels on the first day, but after housekeeping cleaned our rooms, they took the dirty towels and never replaced them. We remembered this very clearly because the day after, my friends and I noticed that the 2 mini towels were never replaced, but we didn’t fuss over it. This is why we were so frustrated when the receptionist continued to insist we had to pay for the towels and wouldn’t let us go albeit us being late for our flight and explaining everything. This was the most horrible experience I ever have, not because of the money we had to pay for the towels, but because they insisted WE STOLE THEM. If this is the case, anyone to comes to this hotel, please remember to count every towel and amenities you have in your room because the house keeping will forget to refill them and YOU WILL BE LIABLE TO PAY FOR THEM.

Exceptional
Nice boutique hotel, prized for its service
The hotel has staff with impeccable manners. The service we received was amazing. Breakfast wasn't anything to shout about but was good enough for us to fill up. The housekeeping staff forgot to give us toiletries but this was immediately rectified after calling reception. The free tuktuk to nearby BTS stations (asok or Nana) and the shopping mall (terminal 21) was a very nice touch. I recommend this place for guests on a budget but wanting to stay downtown.

Spacious, soft beds and pillows, good services etc
This is our first attempt at U Sukhumvit Bangkok Hotel, it was pretty much a last minute booking due to work commitment. We manage to secure this hotel with connecting rooms for a family of 4. When the booking was confirmed, complimentary breakfast changes from "breakfast included" to "breakfast for 2", hence an email was sent to them for clarification. It was just a day before we left for Bkk, we received answer from the asst manager saying bf included for all. (Splendid no.1). When we arrived at the hotel (< 400baht including tolls from Suvarnabhumi), we were informed they had upgraded our connecting rooms from superior to deluxe (Splendid no.2). Daily Tutu services also between Terminal 21 are provided (Splendid no.3). As our flight back home is 8pm, we asked if late checkout is feasible, we were expecting max 2hr from mid noon. Just for your info, apparently U Sukhumvit allows late check out based on your check in time, meaning if you check in late on arrival day say 7pm, you can check out at 7pm on departure date (Splendid no.4). This is so far the best situation as we had late flight into bkk. Overall stay had been splendid, nice bed and soft pillows except the first day where we had our dinner at the roof top, the place is quite infested with mosquitoes, however, staff manage to remedy the situation by providing in-house repellent lotion. We asked hotel to arrange a big taxi for us; 600baht for a 7-seater Toyota Wish, not bad too. Will definitely return back here again

Very Good
Nice hotel, good value
This is a brand-new hotel located about a 15-minute walk from the Sukhumvit subway station and Asok & Nana BTS stops. (There is also a free hotel tuk-tuk shuttle to the stations.) It is quite convenient if you are doing shopping at one of the giant, modern malls or going anywhere on public transportation (including Chatuchak Weekend Market), but not close to anything in the old city center. If it’s your first time to Bangkok, be forewarned that traffic is terrible, and it’s best to stay in the neighborhood near what you want to do (or on the riverfront, where you can take a boat around to the main sights). We were very pleased with the huge bed and gorgeous bathroom, and a very nice breakfast buffet with plenty of choices (including options for vegan and gluten-free diets). The hotel provided several free treats: cookies, fruit, and bottles of water. WiFi worked in our room and public areas, but was a bit slow. All the staff were extremely courteous, helpful and welcoming. The only problem we experienced is a malfunctioning air-conditioning system. In our first room, the A/C only blew very cold air and couldn’t be warmed up. The front desk was very nice and accommodating about transferring us to a different room, but the new room (across the hall from the first one) was just the opposite – it couldn’t get very cool. I’m not sure if the problem is hotel-wide or just with certain rooms. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but next time we will try a different neighborhood
