Unfriendly staff when check-in. Too expensive for this hotel condition. This is like 2 stars inn. Only 2 tiny uncomfortable pillow. Overall, never come back

Don't stay here
Went for a four night family vacation. Had stayed here once previously on a girl's weekend and loved it. Either luck of the draw (bad luck) or the placed changed drastically in the last four months. Started with parking problems. Last time had take train, this time, drove...so needed parking. Hotels.com said this site offered 50% off parking. Called four times before we left to find out where we park. Front desk had no idea what I was talking about. Asked to have manager call me. Even left manager messages. No call backs. Tried again on drive. No luck. Once we arrived, parked in a random underground garage for $35 a day, figuring we could move to whatever garage they had their arrangement with. Front desk, again, had no idea what I was talking about. Left another note for manager. Still haven't heard back. Arrived in room. Dirty. Mold in shower. Broken off towel bar. Dirty dishes in cabinet. My room was missing shade on one of the two floor to ceiling windows. Went down to complain. They added it to the list. No replacement or call back the entire time we were there. Had to change in bathroom and sleep with eye masks. Key cards stopped working several times a day, every day. Front desk is a cranky security lady at night and a temp at a folding table during the day. This experience was awful. The location is amazing and the view was great. Everything else awful. And they don't seem to care.

Old building but relatively inexpensive and clean
Needed a place to stay in Chicago while dropping daughter off for college. We were looking for something inexpensive (relatively speaking), safe, and clean. This hotel fit the bill. It is really set up as an extended stay apartment. No room service and no maid service. It had two bathrooms with plenty of towels for our two day stay. For an additional fee you can get access to the laundry room to wash your towels and clothes. There is no parking available on the property. We drove up from Dallas with all my daughter's stuff in our minivan so had to pay for parking about two blocks away from the hotel and walk to the hotel with our suitcases. The building is very old and it shows. The elevators are pretty beat up but functional. There were two bedrooms with a total of four beds, two bathrooms with showers only (no bathtubs), a full kitchen, and a small living area. The beds don't have much support and pillows are pretty lumpy. Also, with the age of the hotel the bedrooms have somewhat of a musty smell. Overall, we got a lot of space for our money and felt safe at this hotel. Just realize that with the exorbitant Chicago hotel taxes and parking you will have at least another $75 tacked onto your bill every night.

Room was surprisingly nice. Large, clean and comfortable. Building was a little run down, and check in confusing, but it has the potential to be alam
