The friendliest staff you could ever hope for
Nova Hotel was a great first stay for me in Hanoi. As a first time in Vietnam I was not sure what to expect - but I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and if I were to return to the area I would not hesitate to stay here again. Wifi was mostly good, perhaps a tad unreliable at times, and I did on occasion have to request for the staff to turn my air conditioner back on as I believe they control the HVAC from the front desk - not the thermostat in my room which did nothing other than look pretty on the wall of my room. That being said, there was never an issue with having it turned on, and this was only something I noticed once or twice. Perhaps it could have even been a tripped electrical breaker as I was essentially running the AC constantly (being unaccustomed to the heat of Vietnam). The room was clean and made up daily. More than anything however the staff in this hotel made my stay pleasant. If I could rate the staff friendliness and helpfulness a 15 out of 10 I would do that...really there is not a thing there could have done more to make me feel welcome and comfortable. If you are coming to Vietnam, this is a great place to choose - I specifically loved the view from my balcony to the extremely busy streets of Hanoi old quarter below. Also, this hotel felt very secure. The food served for breakfast was MORE than ample and MORE than good. Thank you Nova hotel for my great first experience in Vietnam!

5* service but 2* facilities
The staff are the Nova Hotel are some of the best trained I've met. Unfailingly polite and helpful but that said this is a budget hotel...the rooms reflect this.

Great hotel at a great price
The staff here are fantastic, willing to help at any time and very sweet. Stayed here twice and going back for another night soon. Comfortable rooms and great facilities, breakfast is delicious and lots of help with organising tours and activities. Thanks to manager Fi and his staff for all your help and advice

Good value. Great area.
We stayed in a deluxe double room facing the street and in spite of the hotel being in a very busy area of the Old Quarter, our room was very comfortable and quiet. The breakfast area is cozy with hot made-to-order items on the menu and all staff members are accommodating and professional. Overall, this is a good, reasonably priced hotel in a great area.
