Okinawa
The booking was with breakfast and we were told on check in that there’s no buffet breakfast as there were not many guests. Japanese breakfast was cold but they were rather nice when I asked for bread the next day. Reception cannot speak English.

The hotel is rather old. Very small bathroom. I asked for extra pillows for two kids but the staffs said it costs 216 yen per pillow per night and I think it’s not reasonable.

While staff were kind, I didn't really like the fact that we have to give our hotel key to the front lobby every time we go out. Hotel room was a bit rundown.

Perfect mid-way stop
If you want to tour the upper religions of the main Okinawa island, this is a great place. It’s proximity to the highway makes it an easy trip to and from the airport. But it’s also a quick drive to the superb Aquarium, the Nakijin Castle ruins, Cape Hedo on the tip, and much more. The staff were pleasant and the room was like a little condo: lots of space. I hope to be able to visit again and take some photos of that beautiful poinciana and the nearby beach.

Great No Frills Hotel
This is a nice no frills hotel. We wanted an affordable hotel in a quiet area that's not "touristy" but still be close to the beach and attractions. We found this to fit our needs perfectly. We got the Japanese style room which was we loved. Although the hotel is a bit dated, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. There was always fresh towels, bathrobes, linens, toothbrushes, toothpastes and razors. There was also a hairdryer, small fridge, small stove with a kettle, a bidet, a dining area, living room with a tv and another tv in the bedroom. There's a tub w/ the shower head attached to the sink which took some time getting use to. We often took detours so we can walk through the village and saw how the locals lived which we found interesting. The breakfast buffet was pretty good and had a decent variety to choose from. Dinner buffet had similar food but they added things like sushi and charged more. You definitely get more bang for your buck in the breakfast buffet. There's 2 restaurants next door, a mini mart across the street, and a gift shop in the lobby which hotel guest receives coupons for. There are attractions, restaurants, and shopping areas within close driving distance. Alternatively, you can take the nearby 120 bus which goes to Naha airport as well. The only thing that wasn't well kept was their pool. It's a small pool with a kiddie area which our toddler enjoyed. The staff was friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful time and didn't want to leave!
