Great mountain views and wildlife
amazing. simple motel but the equivalent of an australian animal park at the rear. Kangaroos by the hundred, cockatoos, deer. Make sure you get a rear view unit.

Great little motor-lodge
Quaint but comfortable. Very welcoming and informative at the front desk. A perfect location from which to explore the Grampians. And, as a bonus, heaps of kangaroos right outside the "mountain view" room in the morning and evening.

Get the mountain view
Lovely motel run by a lovely and chatty couple. Great location to walk for dinner/shopping. They'll tell you where to go. Easy parking right outside your room. Comfortable, sizeable room with good heating (also has A/C). The bathroom is dated, but that shouldn't matter since it's functional. Get the mountain view room as you're likely to have wallabies in the field outside (plus the spacious outback with mountain backdrop). There is a small patio with chairs to enjoy your morning coffee with a view. They also offer breakfast as an add-on, haven't tried it, but I'm sure it would have been good. Definitely recommend it!
