Great modern hotel in Leiden
One of the best hotels for a business trip I have been in (and I am very often on the road). Little tricky to find because they don't have a hotel sign at the outside of the glass/steel building just outside the train station (on the other side of the historic center). Rooms are very spacious and in or above the 9th floor. My room (9th floor) had a glass wall with a fantastic view over Leiden. The view from the bar/restaurant/breakfast place in the 12th floor was even better. Modern but comfortable interior. Very clean. Access to a pool on the 11th floor (I didn't try it out, was only one night there). The pool is part of a Spa which is also open to non-hotel guests during day times. This is my favorite hotel in Leiden so far and I have stayed in multiple hotels in that area. And all this just a 20min train ride from Schiphol.

Clean and lovely, but could use better location.
It was good, but the staff hadn't warned me about the party that was downstairs halfway through my stay, that, due to the location of my room, was directly impacted by it. Music was so loud; it vibrated my windows and bed- from nine floors up. And it was at about "standard" volume for what I would have been playing for myself, so it drowned out any attempt to watch TV and wait for the party to end... at 1 am. When I complained to the reception at about 10 pm that night (Party still roaringly loud), all they did was comp me a drink. The hotel is overall very nice, very clean. The hotel bar (where I spent the abovementioned building hiding from the noise) has a beautiful view and is very quiet at 11 pm. Another quibble is that it is on the wrong side of the train station, so it get to downtown Leiden you can use a pass to get through the station (more on that shortly), or you can walk around the side and go under a long bridge (not super fun if you're a young woman travelling alone at night in a city you don't know.) The passes themselves, while very handy, only work 7 times. They won't tell you this until the pass abruptly stops working and you either can't enter the station, or can't leave. And if you have the misfortune of getting stuck in the station with a grumpy station employee you might end up with a 50 euro fine for your trouble (because they can't prove you didn't ride the trains illegally). Nice shower, though! The bathroom was amazing.

Convenient hotel, but a bit noisy.
This was my second stay. This time the room was much smaller and faced an internal courtyard used by others. This made for little privacy and noise all afternoon. Otherwise, it was quite good.
