DO NOT BOOK
This hotel was disgusting. DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL, The people were scary and the neighborhood was ghetto. We walked in and people were staring at us like we were not welcomed. The lady that checked us in actually lived there like a lot of other people. We went up the stairs and right away i felt like crying because it reeked of urine and throw up. The carpet was disgusting and everything was dirty. And that is not even the worst part of it. When we finally got to our room, after climbing a million steps, because the elevator was out of order, we opened the door to see that the light was already on and our blankets were messed up as if someone was had been there an hour before. And if that wasn't bad enough lube was left on the bed and the bed was completely broken. We spent the night in a hotel surrounded in urine, Throw up, and probably cumm on a broken bed. I REPEAT DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL

The Worlds Worst Room
I now know what is meant by flop house. This place is the worst place I have ever stayed in my life. It's nasty, filthy an should be closed by the health department. I have never seen a place with no chair, no table, no shower curtain and no towels. The carpet in the halls are shameful and the elevator is only operational when you catch the manager. I think everyone who stays there has a medical marijuana card, I got a contact high every night. The nightclub across the street is loud.

disgusting!!!!!
The Motel is absolute disgusting. No chair, not even a door to the toilet. you have to walk all the levels, because the elevator is only for personal. overall dirt, it smells like urine and puke. The nights were horrible!! We can't even darken the room. No curtains! No soap, no towels. But the most horrible thing was the neighborhood. Overall homeless people, run down buildings, gangs around, so after sundown you may stay away from the streets. we only want to see san francisco but searcht for the ceapest motel. we didnt know that oakland is so full of crime. next time we will spend more money and stay directly in SF. If you can, stay away from oakland!

Terrible
It was a VERY unpleasant stay and words cannot explain how horrified I felt after walking into and out of this hotel. Yes, it is cheap BUT LISTEN TO ME, DO NOT, DO NOT, DO NOT, Book this hotel unless your life depended on it. It was extremely dirty. the toilet couldn't flush, the bathtub was leaking from underneath. DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL. I have never ever given a bad review on anything in my life but this one, I had to.

Stay here only if you want to save money
The hotel website describes itself as an art hub. But most of the tenants of the hotel are people who appear to be down and under. The location is a bad area. Quite a few nights, rowdy people talked loudly and played loud music right outside the hotel until 3 AM. The room is quite good for the price. But the shared bathrooms are very bad. There is an elevator but the residence managers shut it down most of the time. I had trouble checking into the hotel because I discovered the day before I arrived that they only allow check-in up to 6 PM. If you check in late, you need prior approval and an extra $20 for their inconvenience. There are two residence managers. It seems to be a big hassle for them to talk to each other to approve late check-in. When I checked in, the residence manager did not accept cash and insisted that I paid by money order. After I went trough the trouble of getting a money order and paid him, the other residence manager billed my credit card right away. Not only was I charged twice, the room charges were split into two parts when billed to my credit card which is very weird. I wasted a lot of time talking to my credit card company asking for information on disputing the charges. Eventually I got the money order back and let the charges stay on my credit card. The situation was cleared at the end but it was definitely not fun to have to deal with these hassles on travel. Additionally the way how things were handled is definitely a concern.
