overall our stay was very good, my only concern was not having rent a car for the first night since the location is far from Victoria downtown

Craigmyle Inn
The Craigmyle BandB is located a short distance outside the downtown area next to a historic home (castle). It is a meticulously kept property, and the rooms- tho small and rather tight (unless you get a suite) are lovingly decorated. The bathrooms are small but again very attractively and individually designed. Breakfast is self-serve from a bounteous array of breads, soft-boiled eggs, fruit, yogurt, cereal. There is a great deal of pride in maintaining the property. This would not be a good choice for those with mobility issues as there are a number of steps to climb to access the property.

Steep stairways and no tv........remember dial up
I found the place slightly dysfunctional. No service. Grouchy staff. Internet terrible in the room and fair in the lounge. Steep stairways with small rooms. Nice area but not too close to the downtown. Breakfast was fair. coffee was good.

Cozy, quaint, lovely, but needs cooler rooms
Loved the property and location a delicious breakfast. I also appreciated access the laundry and kitchen so we could make our own food and do our own laundry without a few. The room was a little small and there was a tiny very noisy fan on the desk top that didn't help cool the room. Also, old windows either didn't open up or opened only a bit, so room was very stuffy and hot in August. They need air conditioning or a bigger silent fan in the ceiling.

Craigmyle 2 night stay
The Craigmyle is truly a beautiful place in a beautiful neighborhood. The bed was super comfortable, the storage space was appropriate for the room size, and the area was quiet enough to sleep with the windows open. Downsides were difficulty parking and the street can get congested quickly and there was no hot breakfast.
