Pleasant country pub, nice spacious room. The room was a little cool on arrival, but the heaters provided warmed it up quickly. Dinner was delicious with large portion sizes. Breakfast was tasty, although the sausages, bacon and black pudding could have been a little crispier on the outside for my taste. Friendly staff throughout.

Surprising nice stay
Room was nice and clean, bed was very comfortable. Only downside is the water shredder toilet which is quite noisy but that's the only downside. We got breakfast included in our room and it you could have anything on the menu.

A nice place to stay
Our stay was only for one night as we were visiting family in the area. Our room was comfortable, clean and nice and quiet. After check in we sat in the courtyard with a glass of wine just enjoying the lovely weather. We ate in the restaurant that evening and our meals were very good. Breakfast in the morning was excellent and set us up for the day. We will definitely stay here again when we are next in the area.

Worth every penny
Friendly professional hard working staff (in particular the lovely Rachael). Good food including breakfast. Large bedroom with plenty of amenities. Thought of everything. Decent sized TV, sofa and Comfy bed. No problem with noise from traffic. But did have problem with noisy neighbours who were having a party next door and they weren’t youngsters either! Playing old rock n roll music. But to be fair they did stop before midnight. Car park not sign posted and is tucked around the back by residential houses. Took a bit of searching but plenty of parking available once found.

Nobody home??
I arrived at 3pm which is 1 hour after the check-in time on my booking confirmation, the door was locked so I knocked several times then after no joy I called the several times. After an hour and a half of trying to get a response I finally left. After 9 hours of driving this was a total inconvenience. I have since found out from hotels.com that the owners changed the check-in times to 5pm but by that time I was on my way home.
