Dissapointed Stay
First the place was very cold as there is no heat in the main service areas and the fireplace was not operating. We ate dinner with jackets on. The menu was limited with no desert prepared as stated on menu. The free breakfast was cold and not a great selection. The advertising says "Free airport shuttle" - They have no free shuttle to airport and it cost $30 soles each way. The credit card machine did not work to pay for our dinners. They had no change available at front desk. They were very good at sending us a taxi when we called from offsite to get us back to hotel. Only give you two bath towels, no hand towels or wash cloths. The location is so far out of the way you can not walk anywhere and not sure you would want to, area did not appear safe. Dogs barking all night long at surrounding homes. Overall just very disappointed in this hotel and definitely not what we expected from a Wyndham property.

Very Good 8.0
Carlos Salar was the best part of the stay. He was kind. He had to take the orders of 10 hungry people at 9pm or later.... he was calm, professional, and took the orders perfectly! Even coming to inform everyone that it would be just a little longer before meals started to come out. He was great! Keep him around and I would come back to the hotel! The front desk, Nestor? maybe not his name but he dealt with three tired and hungry guest trying to get the rooms straight. He was helpful during the check in process. He remained calm and professional even if the people checking in were not. However, the rooms were very nice and view worth every cent. The most beautiful views from all the rooms we booked...we had a total of 5 rooms for 10 people. Hot water, clean rooms, good breakfast, good dinner options.....the location isn't bad at all. The stairs next to hotel took you right to a main road that took 15-20 mins at a slow walk to the Plaza de Armas. It was a flat walk... the return walk... only had to climb the stair case.... but not bad at all. It was a good choice and half of the group left after the first night, but we liked it that we stayed an extra night. The only negative - and it was my fault - that I didn't see that there was a form for dirty clothes...and it was more like a "dry cleaning" service. I thought it was "laundry" by the kilo.... needless to say...I paid more for laundry than a the two day stay at the hotel! Be aware!

Exceptional 10.0
Food at the restaurant = DELICIOUS! View from the restaurant = BEAUTIFUL overview of Cusco Service at the restaurant = EXCELLENT, ordered room service and the food arrived quickly and was still hot. The room = Very comfortable king bed with a beautiful view of Cusco. Hot water in the shower, which I hear could be a problem in Cusco. No issues here at all. Front desk staff = EXCELLENT. Alan was most helpful with our late checkin, and spoke english, which is a MAJOR plus. His customer service skills are phenomenal. Carlos spoke english as well, and helped set us up with an awesome private tour of the Sacred Valley. That was the most fun we had the whole time in Cusco. After reading the negative reviews of this place, I was worried about staying here. There were NO ISSUES at all. The taxi arrived promptly, as well as the shuttle to the airport. I would highly recommend this place and would stay here again.

Good 6.0
Hotel was situated in an area in Cuzco which was not too far from the city center. Upon arrival, staff was very accommodating. I booked my Macchu Picchu tour with the hotel, as they had emailed me prior to my arrival regarding my sightseeing plans. I realized later on that I was over charged about 140$ more just for their service in just booking my travels to macchu picchu. If I would have known, I would have booked the train and bus tickets myself, as they did not inform me that I would be on my own after dropping me off at the bus to Peru Rail (which takes you to the mountain). Most other travelers that I met had a tour guide throughout their travel to the site. Also, the bus that took us to the train had a very bad odor, as a child had became nauseous. Not only did the driver not have any napkins to clean it up or spray to mask the smell, but he was also rude to the mother of the child for “letting” her child throw up in the vehicle. It disturbed me that he was so ignorant as to believe a mother has control over a child suddenly becoming sick. Basically booking a tour though this hotel is definitely NOT WORTH the money. You can simply book bus and PeruRail Train tickets at the airport in Cusco. Save yourself the money! There are guides before hiking up the mountain that will offer you the tour. My other complaint was that on the morning of my flight, the water had been turned off in my room because of an issue and I was not warned although it was resolved quickly.

Poor 2.0
I do not know how this hotel maintains a four star rating, do not be fooled by this rating. The found the entire property and experience to be depressing and I would encourage travelers to Cusco to avoid this property if possible. The hotel is poorly located about a 30 minute walk to Centro Historico, in a very depressed neighborhood. Taxi drivers had trouble locating the property, and I spoke to an Uber driver who said he and others intentionally avoid calls to the hotel. Other than a mediocre restaurant there are no true amenities. The breakfast buffet was ok, but is something I would expect to find in a cheap travel motel and chose to eat in restaurants in town 2 of the 3 days I was there. The hotel shows severe deferred maintenance, with my room having torn carpets, mold in the bathroom, broken furniture, burned-out lights and electrical outlets so old and worn they would not hold my device plugs. The furniture and fixtures in the common areas are also old and worn. The staff was friendly and helpful at time of check-in, but service became nonexistent thereafter and I repeatedly had to make requests for items. It is apparent the staff has no professional hospitality training. The internet was very slow, worked only intermittently and frequently cut out all times of day and night. The only positive was the room size and view, neither of which compensate for the negatives. I can literally say I have never been this disapointed in a hotel.
