Nicest staff I've ever met
Hotel Edgar is a wonderful choice of you're staying in Paris. We don't speak any French and the staff was understanding, accommodating and spoke perfect English. The rooms are definitely quirky but extremely unique and charming. We didn't have a chance to eat dinner at the restaurant but the food looked amazing and the coffee was great! There is no parking on site but there is a garage about a half mile away. I will definitely stay here again if I get the chance.

NIce hotel..tough neighborhood
The hotel is very chic. The service was wonderful. We needed an iron and a cork screw and they had it to our room in minutes. The room was very clean and sizable by European standards. We arrived there about 5 and wanted to see some sites so we left. We did the site seeing and diner by walking but by midnight we took a taxi back. Our cab driver didn't know the hotel and I couldn't remember the name of the street but I had a map and could get us close. Once the cab dropped us off we walked to the hotel. We only had to walk one block and when we turned the corner the street was lined with working girls. My wife and I were a little concerned but it was only 500 yards to the hotel street. So in short get dropped off at the door of the hotel and don't plan on walking around at night.

Funky and Chic Hotel & Cafe
I was very pleased with my choice of hotels for my weekend in Paris with my buddy. We chose this hotel due to it's close proximity to my Parisian friends house in the 2nd. My Parisian friends were also very impressed with the hotel and the lunch menu. All of the hotel rooms are different and funky, decorated by family members of the owners. We spent many hours on their sidewalk cafe eating their delicious food and wine. The menu included oysters and burrata, yum. Breakfast was included with our rate, but we usually missed it due to oversleeping past 11am. Fresh bread and croissants were delivered daily at 6am It was very convenient to come home late at night to their bar, which stayed open until about 1pm every night but Sunday. I will definitely stay here again and my Parisian friends will visit their cafe for lazy afternoons on their patio.

Ok but better hotels for same sort of money
Just spent a couple of days in Paris. Fairly Central off Grande Boulavard but in a grotty little back street. Rooms really tiny. No information given on the area and on the last day found a great little area with shops food bars etc really close. Would have been easier than heading to Central for meals etc.
