Disappointing stay
Disappointed with staff... not prepared to receive turists! Overbooked!! Swimming pool full of guests like no covid times! It looked like a Sunset party. Breakfast turn full, only avaiable at 7.30 untill 8.30 AM , not possible with small kids. No information about the use of the elevator alerting one guest at the time, or more guests but from same room. In this context of COVID 19 they should reduce their lotation in order to have conditions to make the hotel a safe place. Felt much insecure hope not infected.

this was booked with a relaxing weekend in mind and with use of the spa facility. the hotel room was clean and comfortable. but the spa was a joke. twice we tried to use the spa. both times we gave up after 10 minutes. there were no checks on the number of people. the pool was standing room only with so many kids who through it was a play ground.

Bar service was not good, the cocktails were not properly prepared. At night we wanted to have a wine bottle in the bar but there was no wine menu at the bar. We waited for the restaurante wine menu but it took too long to make the order and we give up. The day after we bought a bootle in the supermarket to drink it in the room. The music in the pool was not proper to the time of the day and was too loud and there was no pool service. The breakfast was very satisfying.

We stayed for a week for the sonic blast festival in near by Moledo and then relaxed the rest of the week in Caminha and at the hotel. We had an amazing time. Breakfast was great. The room gorgeous, the staff couldn't be more helpful. Special mention to Pedro on reception, obrigada again my friend. The pool, indoor and out was just lovely to relax and unwind. We will definitely stay next year. Thank you, Hotel Porta Da Sol 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 100% recommend!
