Keep looking for another hotel
I am comparing my stay with a superb hotel in Barcelona named Hotel Duquesa de Cardona. Rome Times Pros Very clean Great location Rome Times Cons 1. Terrace needs remodeling .. very sad 2. Front desk was polite but seemed forced 3. Breakfast Buffett was limited but even worse the food was always cold. They need to find a way to keep the food warm. 4. Hotel room was clean but had odd smell. 5. All staff polite but very dry and uninterested in their guests experience. The hotel staff in Barcelona made you feel like royalty 24/7 and for less price even! Msg to Rome Times: If you want to improve your hotel then I suggest you send a Manager to hotel Duquesa to experience their staff, their room welcoming decor, the Buffett variety and wait staff. The entire staff makes the experience enjoyable. From the front desk to the bellhop. Good luck

Very dissappointed!
We arrived after a long travel day and looked forward to a hot shower. Unfortunately the shower was not functioning well enought to take a shower. We requested another room, but this request was ignored. It was more then a hour before the desk staff finally sent a repairman to fix the problem. Other issues were that the room was in general disrepair. We needed to leave for our flight prior to 7:00 am and were promised a nice box takeaway breakfast, we received a small sandwhich and apple, a cookie and water. No coffee available in lobby. Damaged walls and a bed that should have been replaced. All in all we were very disapointed with our stay, we expected more for what we paid. We would appreciate it if you would take into account our inconveinence and apply a generous refund to our credit card account.
