Unreliable and unprofessional b&b
I was really disappointed at what I encountered. Arriving at the bb, I had to wait for about 30 mins for the receptionist to even check me in. He spent his time talking with one guest about the surroundings. When checking me in he told me that the bb is full and there is no rooms available for me even though I had booked two nights and and emailed him confirming my arrival. He did not seem to care and just told me that he called around and found me another bb about 20 mins walk away from the train station that I had just got off. I had to drag my luggages back towards the train station and found out that this new bb is pretty much in a bad neighborhood. I was really disappointed at this arrangement and how unprofessional the receptionist is. Do not book your reservation here unless you are prepared for a disappointment.

Great Location
The room was very clean and comfy. Mid June without AC. A little warm for my liking. No TV or phone in the room. But did offer free WIFI. Billed as a bed & breakfast. It is not. They have a deal at a local pizza place for you to get a discount if you want. They don't take credit cards, So I had to run and find a exchange bank at extra cost to obtain cash while they waited. No property personnel on-site the whole time we were there. The garage parking is off site and is an extra fee. None of which was explained in their ad. They are located close to shopping and sites to visit. It is located on the fourth floor of the building. So be ready to hump your luggage the four flights. It was noisy at all hours due to being right on one of the main streets and too warm to keep the windows closed. The smell of the sewers was pretty tough in the mid afternoon. The ad could explain a little more of what to expect. Probably would not go back nor recommend to a friend.

Full of Lies
There is only one pro about this hotel is the location. The hotel service was the worst ever we have experienced during our travels around Italy. The lady that checked us in spoke no english at all. All she cared about was getting our money. Thats all she knew what to say in English too. The accommodations listed on the website for the hotel was a lie. You do have a private bathroom, but its down the hall and not attached to the room. There was no toiletries provided like it said it there was and neither was a hair dryer. There is no parking available on site, you have to find a parking garage a few blocks away from the hotel and have to pay for it. The room was barely cleaned when we arrived. Even though the hotel was literally located right next to the Duomo, it was unbearably loud at night. I do not recommend this hotel at all. A huge rip off.

As it is in that part of Firenze, Domus Duomo is in a very ancient building and so of course one cannot expect it to be the sleek modern feel of a NY Hilton. If one wants that they shouldn't come to Firenze for their vacation. It was however very clean and well cared for and the 2 young men that we dealt with could not have been more helpful or polite and eager to please. We were very comfortable. The location was perfect. One steps out the door to the Duomo, San Lorenzo, and plenty of restaurants, even a little Despar (grocery store) We were very pleased. And the price was very good. Try to get that kind of location near Time Square for 40 euro/person per night.

Not recommended
Upon check-in no one was there at the hotel we asked a neighbor to call the owner said he would be there in two minutes and showed up 35 minutes later, showed up he was rude and when giving us the keys we realized that one key fits all rooms and all bathrooms there was no heat in the roomand an in adequate amount of toilet paper and blankets. After check-in we never saw anyone from the hotel again and simply checked out by leaving a key on the table. Although the room was average in cleanliness and a great location I wouldn't really recommend this hotel to anyone.
