Overall the experience was alright. Nothing special! The room was outdated, shower was really small, and it lacked updates. The bed was also uncomfortable.

A WEEK IN CHRISTCHURCH
MY STAY IN CHRISTCHURCH WENT WELL SINCE THIS LOCATION WAS WITHIN A MILE OF CENTRAL CHRISTCHURCH WHERE I SPENT MOST OF MY TIME. IT WAS LIKE HAVING A ONE BEDROOM APARTMENT FOR THE WEEK. NO SWIMMING POOL, BUT THE LAUNDRY FACILITY WAS CONVENIENT FOR MY WASH WHILE I AM TRAVELING.

Great for the price
Clean, quiet, staff was very helpful - on the two occasions we needed help, they were extremely fast. Hotel is at walking distance to center and park. There is no breakfast on site but there are two cafes at 2-5 minutes walk. We did not find restaurants for dinner at the immediate neighborhood, but all in all, Christchurch is still struggling with renovations after the earthquake. Not a big problem, one evening we had pizza not far away, on others we bought food from the supermarket and during the days we were anyway on various trips.
