Would stay again
Very nice motel. Great if you don't want to be in a congested area. Only a few minutes from the main attractions. Manager/owner? very nice and helpful.

Super clean and very friendly
I want to say that some of the reviews I read before booking were accurate and some not so much . My wife's main concern was that the room would be clean. And it was perfect to her standards . She loved the style and it was very comfy. The owner was super nice and very helpful with directions and things to do. So much that I hate to leave any negative comments But... It was not walking distance to the falls, no really good places to eat or any of the many other attractions near the Motel. There were no phone in the rooms and no temp controls. I wanted to check out early and no one was in the office. I waited until 8:30 a.m. and still no one. I lost an hour and half waiting just to leave key. I ended up leaving key in a box outside the office. If I had checked out at the regular time (11:00) there would not have been an issues, but it was raining and I was ready to leave. So, beautiful clean rooms and super friendly service. Kinda bad location and better amenities needed for the price . At $120 a night probably could have done better.

The room was extremely clean and well maintained. The owner is so nice and gave great advice on where to go and where to park. They were very accommodating of our 3 am check in and made arrangements for us that made the process welcoming and quick.

Comfort on a budget. Top customer service.
We booked the king room and it was very affordable compared to other fancy-pants hotels in the area. If you want views of the falls then you won't get them at The Rex. When we arrived, we were at first a little worried because, as others have said, the exterior does look very much like any low-price motel. We were warmly greeted and looked after when we checked in. We were provided with information and maps of the area. When we entered our room we were pleasantly surprised and all the things other reviewers have said are true: the owners have taken great care and love in making the room a warm and comfortable space. The rooms are typical motel-size rooms but they are freshly decorated, well maintained, comfortable and in top order. Our bed was comfortable although it did make some clunking noises when shifting position throughout the night. We did hear the other guests staying in the adjacent room through the night, with their coughing and talking, but I think you get that situation anywhere.  I did not notice any street noise at all. The location is convenient - but we did have a car so I can't comment for anyone considering using muscle or public transport. The room had a small fridge, microwave, coffee maker and ceramic cups and saucers. The room is well heated and appears to be centrally controlled. All in all I would recommend The Rex. It is obvious that the family running the business work very hard to provide an exceptional product.
