Door left open - awful!
The stay was fine except one thing that was terrible!!! On the last day, housekeeping left the room messy and door open, and it stayed that way the entire day. We could have had so much stuff stolen! When I told the front desk they didn't seem to care. Although the stay was pleasant otherwise, this will probably keep me from staying here again.

A good value in Rio Centro
This hotel is located in the centre of old Rio. Language was a bit of a problem because only about half of the staff spoke good English. But the hotel staff was very helpful & gave us great suggestions about places to visit. Many of the attractions in the "Centro" such as the Municipal Theatre and the Cathedral are easy walking distance. The metro station is about a 10-15 min walk & we found it easier to use the city bus. The continental breakfast here is incredible. The gym was good but they did not have a pool.
