Great pub and would definitely stay again!
Unexpected delight!! Didn't expect to discover a pub with such modern facilities for the rooms. Staff excellent and very attentive. Rooms lovely and latest tech use for security of entry/exit. Beautiful room, but will ask for the room with a bath next time. Only couple of things that were a little disappointing. The lack of lighting in the room - only lamps - did not give enough true light for later in the evening. The room gets so hot at night - luckily the pub had provided an extra sheet to replace the duvet with and a fan, but just need to warn clients that it will heat up, so it doesn't lead to broken sleep. Finally, I'd booked a cooked breakfast for a set time (on the premise it would be ready for me to eat on arrival), but the team member in the morning was obviously running late, an didn't know what I'd pre-ordered for both breakfast and beverage. We got sorted in the end, but when time is of the essence, being on time matters.

Very Good 8.0
Beautiful room & friendly staff
Friendly staff, beautiful room. Room 1 had quirky shower (positive feedback). Room 1 bed an annoying squeak/noise every time we turned - so a troubled night sleep. Cooked breakfast was wonderful but would propose that a better quality brand of yogurt i.e. anything better than low fat, unrecognised brand and better quality breakfast cereals i.e. Dorset Cereals mini's etc is used for the non-cooked - these would be more fitting with the quality of the room/bar and evening food.

Full of character but a bit overpriced
Lovely room on two levels in beautifully converted attic of this 16th century pub and restaurant. Stayed two nights and drank in bar and ate in restaurant for one of them. Food nice but a bit overpriced, as was the room. Staff willing but not very professional - perhaps inexperienced.
