Hotel can be noisy due to surrounding bars in area. Very safe and very clean.

I got no sleep thanks to the fact that the hotel shares a courtyard with a pub. The drunks congregate in the courtyard (on picnic tables) until at least 3 AM. If you plan to stay up past 3 AM, then it is a good hotel. Otherwise, go somewhere else. And I did not stay on a weekend. I stayed on Wednesday and Thursday nights. You would think it would be quiet during the week. Also, when I checked in I had a question. I called the front desk from my room phone. The phone seemed to hang up. This happened repeatedly. To his credit, the employee came to see what I needed. He handled my situation. In addition, we had a lengthy discussion about the phone problems. I figured he had fixed my phone. This was around 3 PM. Later that night, around 1 AM, I tried to call the front desk to see if they were going to do anything about the very loud drunks below my window. You guessed it, the phone kept hanging up on me. I never got through to the front desk and no one ever came to check on me. I was too exhausted to go down to the front desk in person (It is a very long, winding hallway. Essentially, you walk all the way around the outside of the building, while remaining in the hallway.) In the interest of fairness....the room was neat and tidy. It was stylish. It was a bit warm and the phone did not work, as mentioned. If you don't care about sleeping before 3 AM, then it is a nice hotel.
