Everything was great about the hotel. I wished they had earlier check-in time than 17:00.

Good experience, good's a capsule!
For a capsule hotel, we weren't sure what to expect, but found this one to be pretty good. They offered towels, a robe, slippers, and good lockers (although for large bags you should pay for the coin locker). The staff was really nice, spoke English, and was able to help us with everything. The rooms were pretty comfortable (all things considered), but wouldn't recommend for tall people. As well, they aren't soundproof of course, so bring ear plugs or headphones. Nice place and good location! If you need to store your bags for the day while you are gone since you have to check out at 10 and can't come back till 5, you can put your stuff in the coin lockers at the front. Works out well!

My Best Capsule Hotel Experience in Japan
This was the cleanest 'capsule hotel' I stayed in in Japan. Private bathing area was nice, as opposed to the communal bath thing. My only gripes are that there were some loud French people yammering away outside my capsule in the morning. (They are only closed by a curtain.) And they kick you out at 10am, even if you're staying multiple nights, but that's true of all capsule hotels. (They will let you store your luggage, though.) The neighborhood is great, and right next door is a four-story building that's *entirely* made up of tiny bars, with different themes. So if you want to go to a techno bar, or a classic rock bar, or a hardcore punk bar, all your needs are covered.

worth the novelty, but beware of others - loud
I just had to have the experience of a capsule hotel during a long trip in Japan. This one has a female only floor and in an interesting area of the city. Did not anticipate how loud some of the other women/girls would be so late into the evening. There are signs everywhere that say the floor is for sleeping not having conversations and it got so bad I had to crawl out of bed to admonish the girls to be quiet at 1am. The morning thankfully they left early since they preened the night before. The wifi did not work in the capsule and the manager couldn't understand that even though it worked outside the door by the elevator it wasn't connecting inside the private space. Another reviewer warns about all the luggage in the lobby and I would say that was a surprise (also that people travel with such giant suitcases). The woman who checked me in insisted that my bags stay in the lobby or in a locker, and later I saw at least 10 suitcases in the women's floor so there is a lack of consistency there. All in all, I did get a really good night's sleep in the nice quiet cave after the girls stopped drying their hair after 1am. I also had a casual morning since it was quiet and showers available to check out easily prior to the mandatory 10am. Don't forget your slippers! Probably wouldn't stay here again, but I would try a capsule hotel again definitely. Maybe if it wasn't in the heart of a nightlife district the other guests would be a bit more respectful of the open air environment.

Great Value!
Great value for the money! As with most any shared accommodation (youth hostel, capsule hotel, etc.), ear plugs are highly recommended, but the showers are clean and the beds are warm. Service is usually very friendly, as well. I have stayed pretty regularly in the past and will continue to do so. A capsule accommodation isn't for everyone, but it works well for me.
