Try another hotel or Bed and Breakfast!
This Bed and Breakfast was very disappointing. The owners have moved to Canada and left a very nice lady in charge, but she seemed spread a bit thin as they have taken over the B & B next door as well as the hotel across the street. It is in a VERY busy neighborhood, the local bus runs under the bedroom window frequently, it's terribly noisy (from outside), and there are spotlights that shine one the building keeping the room lit up all night. We were told breakfast was served from 8:30 until 10:00, which is really late. We went to breakfast at 9:00 and found out it really started at 7:30 and it was not much more than a continental breakfast. The manager was extremely nice, the location is close to the sights of Bruges, the bedding linens were of good quality, but that's about all I can say that was nice about the accomodations. I would not stay there again and cannot recommend it to anyone who wants a nice breakfast and a quiet room.

Charming, great location, great proprietor!
This B&B is sooo romantic! We really loved our suite. We could hear footsteps above us, but everything else was so wonderful, we'd stay again in a heartbeat!

Good location, large room and helpful owner
1669 Bed & Breakfast is a very well-located place to stay - an easy walk to both Bruges's main square and to the Béguinage area. The owner was very attentive and helpful. We were in the Salvador Suite that faced the church square, but noise was not a problem. The bed was a very large double/king and the room itself was quite large with separate toilet and shower/bath rooms. Breakfast was a buffet with good choices of cereals, fruit, yogurts, breads and croissants, etc. and we were offered cooked eggs both mornings. A reasonably priced (~8.40 euro) parking lot was a short distance away. There was not much to complain about and I would certainly consider staying here again.

gorgeous place
This place is gorgeous, and the neighborhood is great. The keepers were very cordial and made great dinner recommendations. The room was great, but we never seemed to get the heater to work, but it probably didn't matter since we were in the attic room and it was heated by rooms below. The only downside was a sulfuric smell emanating from the floor drain in the bathroom. Probably due to the old sewage system. The breakfast was great! Overall, great place.
