Poor service. Disaster
We did not have a chance to stay. The owner gave us a key that did not open the front door so we were locked out.

Overall satisfied
We stayed here 1 night for a wedding at a nearby venue. The stay was pleasant, and the innkeeper, John, was very accommodating. We stayed in the Egyptian room--the queen mattress is firm but comfortable. I ordered an omelette for breakfast which was great. The decor is an interesting mix of Egyptian, gothic, and medieval times. My only complaint is that, with a full house, there were 8 adults sharing 1 full bathroom with no alternative toilet/powder room available. I knew it was a shared bath when I booked the room, but I guess I didn't realize that those 3 rooms can hold up to 8 people combined. It felt like a revolving door in the morning--every time someone came out, someone else went in, and you didn't know if they were going to be in there for 2 minutes or 20. However, he explained over breakfast (at a full table since we all selected the same time to eat) that he plans to make several improvements in the future including extra bathrooms, a downstairs bedroom, and moving the kitchen & dining areas to the adjacent church. I am sure things will be much more comfortable once those renovations are done! Given the limited selection of b&b's in the area, I would still recommend the Old Parsonage for a short-term stay.

Quaint and Eclectic
Quaint and eclectic decor, wonderful breakfasts. John, the owner, very personable and hospitable, happily providing local info. Parking was on neighborhood street which was somewhat inconvenient one night. Definitely will return to stay again...
