Bargain place within an hour of Heathrow
This is a very cost-effective place to stay if you want to be in the countryside but only an hour from Heathrow. It's in Old Windsor, just 10 minutes from Windsor Park. The rooms are upstairs from the pub - it's a little shabby but entirely adequate. The WiFi was marginal - it only seemed to work when no one else was around. There was very good food in the restaurant (I had the salmon), and a free cooked breakfast.

I loved this inn. I was exhausted from three days of nonstop travel. I had to stay over in London for a night before another two days of travel and was pleased to have a clean, comfortable room. When I checked in, the woman behind the counter helped me with my bags, made me a tea tray and made me feel welcome. I showered, got organized and fell asleep for hours. I slept well in the bed, it was quiet, and the mattress was nice with very clean sheets. The amount of towels was lovely and the shower was large. The room was also large, which is very rare in England. Once I woke up, it was 9pm and I was hungry. Being Windsor, there was nothing open, so I went to the pub downstairs, which also had the kitchen closed (again, it's Windsor). There were some locals at the bar, and they were interesting to talk to. The next morning, I woke up too late for breakfast, which the gentleman was rather off-putting when informing me, and I immediately felt unwelcome. Nonetheless, I was grateful that he made me a cup of coffee. The woman behind the desk was very kind and made me some toast with butter once we were chatting, as I had taken a malaria pill and felt ill. Poor planning on my part, but I truly appreciated it. When overtired, I portray uncharacteristic behavior and I appreciated her understanding. I later gathered that the gentleman was stressed about an order that had been filled incorrectly for a private function that was happening that day.

disappointed, no 4 star hotel
This hotel was booked as it marked on the website shuttle service, no other reason for booking this hotel. very disappointed as there was no shuttle service and also no wifi signal in room, although I made them aware of it, they basically did nothing. Later while complaining of the booking, wrote me, hotel told them that I didn't complain as nothing was in the complain log of the hotel. for sure I did tell them....they couldn't even check me in as the computer wouldn't work. very disappointed also with the solution. and the listing was very quick, after my stay, adjusted. so they were aware. room was ok, blinds broken, bathroom super basic (not even a shelf or something to put your stuff on. listings have to be correct. not a 4 star hotel, more a 2 star.

One Night at the Union Inn
We stayed in the Union Hotel for one night to be close to Heathrow Airport. It was an ideal location, and the staff was very friendly. The room was basic, but clean and comfortable. Breakfast was nice as well.

Not too Bad
We stayed for 2 nights before heading on to our vacation. Had a great time place was nice but staff not that great helpful but so miserable. We were told what time breakfast was but no one was there until after 8 am really! so we gave up but overall comfortable place and would stay again.
