Good location
The location was great however the two sites were confusing for check in. The shower recess needed grout cleaning but otherwise room good.

Awesome!
Out of the 5 hotels I have stayed in for vacation in Europe, this one was the best. Location is ideal. The hotel is right off the street for peace and quiet but not too far to just turn the corner into many restaurants, shops and a 5 min or less walk from the tube. Not to mention the Westfield mall right in your backyard. Very comfortable and clean and great television options for perks. Your hear the train come and go but it's nothing serious. Would definitely come back. I already plan to.

Heat stroke hotel
The room was very very cramped, but at least was located near Shepherd's Bush tube station in a working class suburb of London. So well located for touring London and less expensive that other hotels. Some nice little ethnic restaurants and food stands nearby. The main problem was the room had no cooling system, not even a fan. We were there during the heat wave, so our tiny room was unbearably hot, even with the window open and the night air being quite cool. Really miserably hot. We avoided being in the room (or the hotel) as much as possible and got very little quality sleep.

Too Hot to Sleep!
We stayed two VERY HOT nights at the Holland Park Grove. After having to check in down the street we were given keys to our room, back down the street. Not a terrible inconvenience. The terrible inconvenience was the room temperature. During these hot summer nights the room was an oven. The window barely cracked, with almost no air flow. No other fan or source of circulation in the room. We sweltered. We barely slept, and when we did it was a sweat drenched experience. My girlfriend and I frequently woke up at night in a state of heated exhaustion. Sleeplessness. Staring at the ceiling. Taking late night walks. The temperature outside was much cooler than inside. The room simply had no air flow, and the window, the one source of air through the meager slanted opening, faced the morning sun. The 3:30am sunrise would wake us, of course, but we needed what little air flow we could get. Even with that, the morning sun would raise the temperature much faster than the airflow could cool it. In sum, we had a miserable experience at this hotel because of the heat, lack of airflow, and lack of a fan or other foresight to prevent this condition.

Solo Traveler on a Budget
For the price it was definitely worth it. The staff was very accommodating after arriving a day later than planned and staying an extra day than planned. It is small but who needs a large room when travling solo. Only downside is that I couldn't figure out how to work my TV. Granted I never asked so I can't really complain. The location is perfect. Less than a 5 minute walk to the nearest tube station, HUGE mall (Westfield Mall) literally around the corner with wonderful restaurants if you don't want to go into the city. It was very quiet which was nice. It's not glamours but if you plan on spending a lot of time in the city and just want a clean and inexpensive place to sleep I would definitely recommend it. I would gladly stay here again.
