4/10 Fair

Room was clean. Bed was extremely soft. there was a window in the room however would not open, fortunately we were provided a fan. Had to request a wash cloth as only provided one for 2 guests. Shower wasn’t great, shower head continuously fell down and the water came out of the side. Reception was closed they did have posted hours someone would be available however no-one was there during that time. we weren’t made aware of maintenance (painting) being done on the Monday morning when we tried to check out. Can understand with covid they have less staff on but would have been nice if that had been communicated even a heads up at check in would have been great. One of the lifts weren’t operational and the other smelt damp, carpet coming out of the lift into the hallway also smelt damp. Great location central to everything and there is a car park directly across the road which you can pay for at the hotel. Would not recommend staying the night the uni students move in just down the road not the hotels fault but something to be aware of if you are in a room on the street, couldn’t hear road noise otherwise.

The best thing about this property is the location - if you want dining and food options. It's in the less corporate side of town, which is our preference always. The area has lots of personality and colour and is in walking distance to pretty much everywhere...weather permitting! The accomodation is also very good. Not flash but clean, comfortable and lots of room in the one bedroom apartment. Very quiet too, even though we had a room overlooking the street. Great for people watching!

My room was on the 8th floor and nice and quiet. Well equipped room, no central air conditioning but provided with heater. Handy location. Some initial issues with wifi but resolved by staff within 24 hours. Comfortable bed.
