Great Restspot on the Clyde and Forth Canal
This was a most welcome stop on our week-long trail of walking the John Muir Way. Coming out of the woods after visiting Roman ruins, the Boathouse was in a perfect location - right on the towpath on the Clyde and Forth Canal. The hotel has a limited number of rooms, a superb restaurant with attentive staff, and spacious deck for a late lunch and drinks later. It was a highlight of our long walk.

A must stop for walkers and a great meal (or 3)
This was a perfect stay for us while hiking the John Muir Way. The restaurant had fantastic food, the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was the same. We forgot some things behind when we left the next morning and staff held them for our return. You can't beat the location, food, and people. A definite recommendation for anyone in the area and particularly anyone walking the JMW.

Lovely place near village and park and ride
My wife and I couldn't have been happier. The staff was excellent, as was the food in the attached pub.
