Disappointing. Won’t be staying again
It was very tired. Mildew and fungus in the shower, shower head was caked with limescale and issues with the hot water ie lack of it. Went down for breakfast to no staff and found customers raking in the kitchen to find cereal and milk. When a staff member did turn up it was one man making breakfast, serving, clearing tables etc. The room did not match the photos on the website! I was certainly expecting better when booking the Windsor suite. Would not stay here again.

Changing of the menu!
The reason for staying here was the food served in pub below. It used to serve some lovely mediteranean dishes which were great but now the place serves traditional grub which was okay. Room had some issues but generally a nice stay but would not stay again due to the food.

Left feeling very disappointed
I booked a night away to celebrate my husbands 40th. When booking the reviews looked good, the pictures looked lovely. We were very disappoint on arrival as it turns out that it was having renovation work done. We wouldn't have minded but they hadn't even had a courtesy email just to say that it would be happening during our stay. We also found out that since making our booking the place had changed owners, again we weren't notified of this. We had a nice greeting when we arrived by the gentleman behind the bar but we were also greeted by the strong smell of gloss which was from the bar/restaurant area. We were shown up to our room. It was very hot going up to our room and once we got in to the room it was very stuffy, the room felt like it hadn't been aired for about a week. It was ok once we opened the window to let fresh air in. The room was a great size but from the pictures on it looked very different. It was very tired looking and wasn't as clean as it could be. Dust and cobwebs in the bedroom and the bathroom has mouldy grout. We found a screw just left on the window sill which our 4yr old could have got hold of and the toilet seat was broken. We all seem to sleep well. At breakfast we were asked if we wanted tea or coffee but nothing offered for our little one. We sat at a table and noticed chips underneath from prev day. When we check out the lady said nothing, didn't even ask us if everything was ok. We left feeling like it was a wasted stay.
