Terrible value. Good location.
Go elsewhere. The hotel is very well located for sightseeing, very close to the White House and easy access to other attractions, but that is all going for it.The room was tiny and very dark; we were in a corner and both windows looked to alleys. The breakfast was terrible, nothing like other Hampton Inns. The waffle mix was spoilt and none of the other breakfast items were remotely fresh. Not good value, even if you are using the hotel only to sleep after touring the city.

Awesome Trip
Staff is very friendly. I stayed there for 3 nights with my wife so we needed a close location to the attractions and also a good schedule plan to be able to see as much as we could. We check in at the hotel around 1:00 PM so we decided to take a walk around to see if we could do everything just walking, as much of the attractions are walking distance from each other. At the end of the day we where tired and we noticed that we would miss many free attractions if we tried to do everything walking because it eats up time and we had only two more days left there. Also we did not know the city as first time visitors. We decided to book the Big Buss for two full days because we could hoop on and off all around the attractions save time and see most of them. We were able to book it at the front desk. The Big Buss have 4 lines. Red, Green, Yellow and Blue (all lines goes just to the attractions). No need to say that there is a lot to see around Washington DC and you will not make it all walking only. Back to the hotel the breakfast is very good. Rooms are a bit small big very comfortable and the location is good. Some places to eat nearby.

Great hotel. Great Location. Can't Go Wrong.
My girlfriend and I went to DC for two and a half days. The hotel was the perfect spot to start our adventures given the close proximity to the white house and all that DC has to offer. It allowed us to walk and explore in all directions. The hotel is perfect if you're looking to get your best bang for your buck. It's probably a little further from some of the more popular dining and nightlife at night, but there is still plenty of higher end restaurants within a five minute walk. We walked more like .7 miles each night to go explore the bars around the Verizon center but loved every step as it allowed us to take in more of the city and enjoy ourselves.

In the heart of our nation's capital
My wife and I were looking for a hotel that we could park our car at and not need it while visiting D.C. and this was the perfect pick. The hotel was walking distance to the National Mall and the Metro and a short drive to Georgetown for great restaurants. The hotel has a modern look and feel to it. The room is a little small even for two people but when I realized I was that I was in the heart of our nation's capital you I couldn't complain. The staff was amazing and the breakfast was truly satisfying.
