Nothing amazing about this hotel. We are an elderly couple in our early 60’s but when we arrived at the hotel, no one gave us a hand with our luggage. I had to take it out from the Grab car, push it all the way to reception and no one helped. We checked in and the next day, we went down to have breakfast. There was no make my room sign. I had not asked for my room to be made.When we came we were shocked to find my room door opened and the guy was cleaning the room. I didn’t think they would come in so I left my wallet by the bedside table. My Wife had her wallet in her handbag. We were really upset but all we got from the executive housekeeper was sorry. I said how could your guy come in and he said that since I didn’t press the do not disturb, they could come in after knocking on the door and if there was no response. Duty manager for the day also said the same thing. The good thing that came out of it was he let us check out at 3pm. Buffet was standard but a little pricey.Upon check out, there was only 1 lady managing check in and check out. So we had to wait. Truly not a pleasant stay. Anyway that would be my first and last time I am staying there. There are many better hotels since there are plenty of them. Only thing room was huge.

Hi , I have checked in Ramada Plaza Hotel on the 13th Jan ( Sat ) and out on the 15th Jan ( Mon ) 2018 . I would says that I have a present stay over the 2 nights spent . The ground level staffs were so friendly including the room cleaner . The hotel door man ( Guess is the supervisor forgotten to ask his name ) remember my name and greeted me whenever he see me despite my short stay , awesome! The location is not bad at all with surrounding restaurants/ 24 hours mini mart and is within approx 15 minutes walk to the Joken Street , Red Sq , River Side , Museums etc. fand for those prefer to take a Grab service and its only cost approx 5 ringgit per trip to the general attractions. My room was spacious as I have booked the executive room with unblocks sea view ,clean room with good service as well .The hotel also provides free shuttle bus services to Joken Street and Shopping Mall .Asked the reception for the one time payment of 5 ringgits and enjoy the free parking for the rest of your stay if you drive a car . The only set back was I’m unable to access to the level 24 for a beer or meal because my booking package doesn’t come with it and so I shall suggest the 24 level should be mean for every hotel guest ( never mind I can pay the bill for the drinks / meals when separately needed ) Overall the hotel is good and i was well serve and will make a make a return when I go to Malacca again and hope that I’m allow to enter the 24th level the next time . Convenient location, spacious room
I have been staying at this hotel for the past 2 decades during most of my visit to malacca even when it was under a management. With the new makeover, the room looks a lot more modern and the lobby looks very grand and welcoming, However, I am surprised that a 5 Star hotel actually does not offer hand nor face towels. I think the housekeeping department should seriously consider this matter. Hotel is also at a good location, many popular eateries within walking distance, great from breakfast to supper.

Far from major shopping malls & attractions
Hotel is far from major shopping malls & attractions, requires to walk 15 mins. Not suitable for elderly people who are unable to walk far. But luckily there are quite a few eateries nearby. N very near to The Shore @ Riverside where it is suitable for children to visit. Check-in & Check-out process is slow. Need to wait about 15 mins in queue, plus another 15 mins to process booking. Wasting of time. Booked an Executive Club room, room is very spacious with a king-sized bed & sofa-bed. But found some dusts on the bed and sofa. Mini-Fridge in the room is not working well. No free mini-bar except for coffee & tea. Overall comfort level is just average, not really recommend unless hotel offers free shuttle in future. Hotel offered free Movies on-demand to watch in the room, my children loves this 👍👍👍

Requested for a shaver from housekeeping as i thought it was provided but unfortunately it was not part of the amenity and it took almost an hour to be sent up. Ordered a glass of white wine through TV and a red wine was sent up. When corrected, room service said we didn’t specify that it was white wine when they called up to confirm the order. It was clearly white wine when we ordered through the TV and room service called to confirm if we only ordered a glass of wine and nothing else? It sounded our fault for not telling the caller from room service. Instead of changing the wine immediately, there was an argument that we didn’t tell them? I would have thought that the order sent down from the TV was black and white, and any argument was unneccesary. We enjoyed the food at the wedding although the server didn’t seem very happy serving us and was clearing food away when the food was only half eaten. The basin in the room was filthy. Went to front desk to have it cleaned and cleared but it didn’t happen. We will have second thoughts staying with Ramada Malacca again, and may not recommend to anyone.
