Great value and location for the price.
The hotel is very friendly, and accommodating. Of course a single room is smaller than in the U.S., but it is typical of a Japanese hotel room. As you exit the Yokosuka Chuo train station. Look to your left, and upwards. You will clearly see the Central Hotel sign. The hotel is 100 yards away from the station. Simply meander down the small street that leads directly to the hotel. If you do not do this, you may have a bit of difficulty seeing the hotel location, from street level.

Good service bad food.
The central hotel is your standard Japanese business hotel. It's really small and the room smells like smoke. The free breakfast while more extensive then the options at its American counterparts was sub standard for Japanese hotels. The eggs were really funny and had a strange texture. The hot options and pastrys were lacking and the salad bar that comes with most breakfasts in country was not very well stocked. On the bright side the location is great and the staff speaks excellent English.

Beautiful Hotel
Had my apartment being fixed on and needed a place to sleep. I wanted to check in around 7am, but they were fully booked, and no one had checked out yet. Checked in at 1pm, and slept the rest of the day. Beautiful hotel, awesome breakfast, and comfy bed and room! Will definitely stay here again come vacation time!

Don't settle for the first room if it's filthy...
Was given THE WORST roomin the hotel. After requesting a non smoking room was given a room that had been smoked in, yellow walls with holes that had been patched by someone not qualified and dust all in the room. The carpet was filthy to the point I was afraid to take my socks and shoes off. Had to complain and then I was given a decent room with clean walls and carpet. The bathrooms were new and clean in both rooms.

The hotel staff was superb! The breakfast was delicious. As an American come with an open mind and you will enjoy.
