Undeserved bad reviews, beautiful hostel
I stayed 5 nights (4 bed, 6 bed) in this hostel. It is not located in the tourist center but surely is a few minutes from many cultural centers/attractions/nightlife. As a solo female traveler I felt safe getting there even late at night. It is located an easy 2.5 blocks away from plaza España w/ lots of transport options, supermarket and eatouts. The transport to almost any part of the city is easy! 1.5 Bolivianos (line M) for a minibus, minivans are 2 Bs all dropping off at the door or 1/2 block away. Taxi to bus terminal is 20-30 bolivianos (i paid 20 even though i was told it was 25-30). Unlike most other hostels I have stayed in, the rooms actually resemble the photos. Very clean, bright, and spacious for hostel standards, at times it felt like a boutique hotel. There are only 2 showers & 3 toilets available for all shared rooms however the showers had hot water 24rs, which is a rare find in Bolivia if you're not paying top $. The whole place is incredibly clean and & the friendly staff regularly take care of all corners of the property. I've read some bad reviews about cleanliness which I would like to clarify that if there was any dirtiness involved it was because of travellers who don't have any notion of hygiene or house manners - if you're one of those, or a smelly dirty party animal, please stay away! The common areas are super inviting and comfortable and the atmosphere of the whole place is very relaxing! Breakfast was simple BUT WITH QUALITY INGREDIENTS!

Nice staff, but dark and dingy accomodations
I wanted to like this Hostel as the staff were very friendly and helpful, but I found the private room we booked sub par even for a Hostel. There was only one small window to the hall, and everything felt dark and damp. The bathroom in particular was sub par, shower flooded and no hot water. Overall, not a very clean or comfortable room. Also the dining area/bar smelled like a bathroom, which made it very difficult to eat in. I know this is a Hostel, but it was by far the grungiest one I have stayed in. I did take a peak at the dorm rooms and group bathrooms and those seemed much nicer/cleaner. If I had to stay here again I would go with a group room.

Pirwa Hostel transferred us to YORK Hostel
Pirwa was a very basic hostel without ensuite facilities. Transfer to YORK York was being modernised and was well on the way. Room was freshly painted with clean ensuite. Very handy to tourist area etc. They are in the process of learning what tourists may want, eg internet needs improvement, "yummy breakfast" needs a few extras, credit card facilities there but not in use. In a little time this will be a good hostel.

A little bit difficult to find the hostel. Need to climb many steps to the reception, which is really tough job for people with big luggage or old prople. Noisy bar till mid-time.

Problema com a reserva
Não tenho como classificar a estadia, pois quando chegamos ao hotel não havia o quarto reservado. A recepcionista alegou que não recebeu o pedido da nossa reserva do site, logo não sei de quem foi o erro.. Gentilmente ela pagou um táxi e nos encaminhou até uma outra rede de hotel.

Séjour très mauvais
Séjour très mauvais, On nous a donné une chambre minuscule, nous avons dû réclamer la chambre que nous avions payé. chambre très froide sans chauffage(il fait plus froid dans la chambre que dehors), douche de temps en temps chaude mais c'est rare, petit déjeuné très léger, wifi très instable... bref un très mauvais séjour. Il y a des hotels bien mieux que celui ci...

Recomiendo Pirwa
El hostal pirwa es ideal para conocer distinta gente, y poder moverse con comodidad por bolivia, dado que está cerca de la terminal, les recomiendo ser relajados, conocí personas de otros países que exigen todo como si estuvieran en su país y comparan todo el tiempo, recuerden están de viaje, es lo bonito de viajar, es otro país y si viajan obvio las personas son diferente. Pero la gente es atenta, se preocupan por tu viaje y te dan buenos comentarios, te reciben por tu nombre y las camas son cómodas y calientes. El precio es accesible y se puede volver un hogar cada vez que regresas a la paz. El equipo de Pirwa es increíble, me hice amigo de cada uno de ellos y ellas.En las mañanas te dan un desayuno que es más como un snack para poder salir a caminar un rato sin buscar qué comer temprano. El café no es bueno, pero es difícil encontrar un café en bolivia. Pero lo más importante de todo en Pirwa es la gente, muy amable, considerados y atentos, recomiendo totalmente este hostal.

Hilfsbereites Personal, sauber und super Lage. Schöner Altbau, viele Freizeitangebote. Recht laut, da Fenster auf den Flur hinaus gingen.
