Very Good8.0
Quiet retreat when Tokyo overwhelms
This was a great area to return to after a day out in the sometimes overwhelming parts of Tokyo, such as Shibuya or Akibahara. Good accommodations in a lovely area of town.

Lovely and cosy family run inn. Owners are helpful, giving useful information about the local area. Great location (near Sendagi subway and Nippori train station) and very good value. Room is simple, big by Tokyo standards, clean and has everything you would need.

Perfect blend of old and new
The ryokan had the perfect blend of a traditional style room with modern amenities. The futon made for a comfortable night's sleep. The only thing I would say is that the fridge is a little noisy if you switch it on at night.
