A warm welcome to Jordan!
We had a GREAT stay at the Amman Pasha! This is a simple hotel with better than 5-star service. The staff are GREAT! It was really helpful, after a long day of touring, to have the hotel restaurant right there...good food for a good price. The special barbecue meal on the hotel roof was especially good.

Great budget conscious hotel close to everything
My second time staying here. Very good value, close to all the sights and and has everything one needs. Breakfast is included and really hits the spot. Will stay here again if I'm in Amman.

This is a budget hotel , more like a hostel except that I had a private room with private bath. What makes this hotel so good are the employees. They will go out of their way to assist you. They also offer an excellent spa. I love turkish baths and their version is the best. Try it !!! The restaurant offers a selection of local food as well as Italian and they are working to expand the menu. A new dish is called Muhammara and are working on adding Chicken Cordon Bleu. However they need to improve the tours they offer. Need more communication with drivers. Talk to the guests and offer suggestions and advise as to the best way to cover the sites the guests are interested in. Many of the drivers do just that, drive. On a 3 hour drive they need to explain where are we going. Yes, I read the books but they are local and should have more info. Instead they ask personal questions. Not cool !!! Not appreciated. Still recommend the hotel.

A True Jordanian Experience
This is not a luxury hotel, so don't go there expecting that. I would agree with another reviewer that this is more hostel than hotel. However, this is one of the friendliest, most customer oriented, and eclectic hotels I've ever stayed in. I was very pleased that after I made our booking I received an in-depth email from Feras listing the tours they could arrange. We did a multi day tour, and our driver, Richard, gave us great advice that helped save us money and avoid crowds. The included breakfast was always ample and filling, but know that it is not a European or American style breakfast. Your room is cleaned only when you request it, but it is a very thorough cleaning. The bathroom in our room was dated, but very large. The joy of the Amman Pasha comes in it's quirkiness. The messages that are written on the wall, the view from the rooftop terrace and its menagerie of rabbits, tortoises, birds, and a hedgehog, and the sincere smiles and warm greetings of the staff calling you by name and treating you as if you were an old friend. The location was also fantastic, with the Citadel above, the Roman Amphitheater almost directly across the street, and tons of shopping and eating options within easy walking distance. Were we to go back to Jordan, we would absolutely choose this hotel again! It may be short on the luxuries of other hotels, but it simply can't be beat on providing a true Jordanian experience, which, after all, is why we travel.

Hard to get to driving, but otherwise fine.
The hotel was fine. The front desk attendants were helpful. Just a couple things to note: If you pay with a credit card, the payment will be in USD (with an additional conversion rate) not in Jordanian Dinar as stated on the booking. At breakfast if you want coffee or tea there is an additional 5JD fee. I do not recommend driving to the hotel--it is on a one way street off of another one way street and very difficult to get to driving (easy to get to walking though as one way streets are less of a problem and its right in the middle of things!).
