Likes: Nice ambience. Duty managers were very accommodating n acknowledged our grievances. Dislikes: not child friendly. Couldn’t enjoy full amenities with toddler (drawing room/orchid room etc) no child minding service available or alternatives given for us to enjoy aft tea in drawing room Local staff (BPs) was not friendly n practised preferential/differential service:,they served Caucasian guests n was very helpful w em but not w us, didn’t serve us n tend to avoid eye contact, shy away. Answered when prompt, answers to queries was not given keenly to say the least. Had 1 staff/butler in lounge absently giving me milk n putting it like it’s a coffeeshop when the very same butler just served a Caucasian couple w finesse n poured their milk without being asked. There was 7 o us in e can to Starhill: 3 fr my family, 2 Chinese/Japanese n a Caucasian couple. The staff in e front seat opened our door n just directly addressed the Caucasian couple seated in e middle only n telling them abt e services n timings of e van, we were seated in front n e other guys at e back: no mention or contact was given to us. Had to ask e driver abt e info. Local bumiputras not keen to serve me (i’m Also a Malay) but very keen to serve caucasians even when they were not ordering e food but I was! This was though out my stay fr check in until I complained to the duty manager. 5 star hotel w a 2-3 star service fr the Malay staffs n dat 1 butler

Great atmosphere but there's room for improvement
The hotel itself is scenic to the eyes. Room was comfortable with great shower pressure and the bath was indeed a very nice addition. Shuttle services made it very convenient to move about. We sent them an email in advance after booking to enquire about their TV channels and if they could give us a room with no problems and they responded very promptly. Having said that, the services could really improve. Everything was slow and we caught the front desk staff kept checking her mobile phone while checking us in. The processing time for the clients are longer than other hotels. One of the shuttle drivers had a very distinct level of service between a white family versus Asian family. He was really nice and helped the white family get off the van and kept on saying thank you and goodbye while he just ignored us when we wanted to get on the van. We had to ask him to confirm if the shuttle was going to the hotel. He did not greet us nor did he greet another Asian couple that took the same shuttle with us. That's really disappointing. The housekeeping guy was nice though. He greeted every one with a smile and good morning. YTL has done a really great job in creating such a beautiful hotel but unfortunately the services doesn't live up to its standard. There are many other hotels in KL that provide exceptional services. Majestic is definitely not one.

Very Good
Hotel staff were extremely polite, hotel was spacious, clean, well-maintained. Love how the deluxe rooms have bathtub with salt for cleansing, armchair, dedicated TV area with tables and chairs, dedicated desk and also a small round meeting table. Although hotel was a distance away from major transit points like KL Sentral, it has free shuttle buses there and even to popular spots like MidValley and Pavillion - at certain timings only though! What I did not like was their operating systems do not sync up. Even though I made 2 separate bookings, 1 direct and 1 through third party, and even emailed the hotel and received their confirmation that the bookings were from me, the front desk managed to combine them but not housekeeping. Eating at the hotel and trying to apply Marriott Bonvoy member discount required the restaurant staff to check with the hotel front desk system. For 5 star hotel this was pretty irksome, and I’ve has better experiences at other Marriott group hotels. Overall I’d still recommend!

Exceptional
Didn't I said it before? Staying is believing.
After my first stay at The Majestic in August, I felt truly happy with my stay & I knew it back then that it won't be my last. Came back to stay in the Colonial suite to pamper myself & for quality #metime! Absolutely great! From the gorgeous suite to the genuine service, it left me to check-out with a heavy heart. Many thanks to the awesome Majestic Wing butlers Nik, Jerome, Pei Wei & Nay Chi, and Calvin & Nazmul from Housekeeping for the sincere service from the heart. Went for a short shopping trip & came back to the suite to a birthday cake surprise from the butlers. They even left a bottle of sleep spray on my table which left me sleeping soundly at 9.30pm! Special thanks to Ms Pei Wei who knew I didn't get enough of the delicious chicken tikka roll during the evening snacks & so on the next day, she she served me a whole roll of it! Not only my heart is full, my tummy too! Haha. Kudos to Mr Calvin & Mr Nazmul who diligently visited my room to ensure that I'm enjoying my stay & if there's anything else that I would need. Special mention to Mr Nik & Ms Nay Chi who walked me to my suite on the day of arrival (when I had to change room) & again Mr Nik who sent me off to the car when I checked-out. I felt like the Majesty throughout these three days!

Nice hotel but not the best service
We were in the newer part of the hotel. Very comfortable bedroom with a lovely bathroom en suite. The front desk staff were very helpful and able. The breakfast was fairly good, with a reasonably good range although it could be improved with a few more options that the best hotels seem to manage. There were a couple of disappointments which made us wonder about the levels of staff training and attention. Our room was not serviced until the evening of one day. We went out all day and returned to find the room had not been visited. Someone tried to do it at around 7, which seemed a bit later than we'd expect. The second thing was that there was a macadamia nut on the floor outside our room for the entirety of our 4 day stay. We were going to move it but we thought we'd wait and see how long it took for the room staff to notice. I've no idea if it's still there.
