You get what you pay for....
I have never felt compelled to write a hotel review before now, but I feel quite passionate about this write up! We knew not to have very high expectations of this hotel as we did go for the cheapest option, so we Didn't expect luxury for the price we paid. Yes the room Was cheap but the standard was completely unacceptable.... The worst thing was the lingering smell of urine and we just couldn't shift the smell, the bed was in a very poor condition and although the top sheet had been cleaned the blanket underneath smelt like it had not been washed since the hotel first opened, with every turn in the bed unleashed a new pungent smell. It was a very uncomfortable stay with us feeling every spring in the bed so we didn't sleep well at all and we woke up to many many bites that were different to our usual mosquito bites....so there were some interesting bugs in that room too! We couldn't get out of their fast enough! Any advice that I can give is to just pay an extra £10/20 for a better hotel as Railey is such a stunning place you should be able to relax there but you definitely won't be able to relax here!

Worst hotel I've stayed at
worst place I have ever stayed at. There were 6 of us who purchased 3 rooms and we had one friend in our group who was staying at another hotel. Since he was alone he would spend time with us at the hotel and they were convinced that he was staying in our room and tried to make us pay for an extra person multiple times. They pretty much stalked us... constantly came and knocked at our door and tried to come inside to see if our friend was there. They brought security with a baton and made him leave the property. The service was also horrible, there were bugs all over the room and bed and nobody ever came to clean the room or replace the towels. Definitely do not stay here, worst service and overpriced. There are so many better hotels along the strip for a similar price. This hotel ruined our entire stay at Krabi.

Good
Nice hotel close to all areas
In such a warm climate this hotel is fine for your basic needs. It's not all high spec finish but it is all you need out there. The pool is nice, staff helpfull and wifi at reception is excellent with plenty of tables and chairs in the shade so you can stop and do your on line stuff. It's on the east side of tge peninsula so the morning light at breakfast is gorgeous. It's set back in a jungle valley so the plants are lush and you can hear the monkeys call at night. As long as you don't expect 5 star standard then this place is really fine.

Very Good
2 nights on Railay
We were hesitant after reading the bad reviews but honestly had a good experience. The staff was very nice and welcoming. The rooms were basic but clean and comfy enough. Yes its expensive for Thailand but you are going to a place that is only accessible by boat. If you don't expect a true resort and realize you are paying for locatiom you will be fine. It is a bit of a walk (15 min) if dropped off on Railay West but only 7-8 min if getting on or off at Railay East. Didn't try restaurant but had breakfast at Friendship cafe next door which was good.

Exceptional
Good choice for young families.
Our room had seen better days, however it was clean and comfortable and the location was great. The staff were efficient and friendly. This hotel is recommended for family stays - particularly for those with younger children- as it is quiet. On check in I was told I had been upgraded, but I’m not convinced the room allocated was any better than that booked. The room comes with a list of charges should there be damage to any article including shampoo dispenser and room tray! Even tho some aspects of management were a little harsh, I would stay here again with or without my teenage children.
