The Villas is a small bit of paradise amongst the overwhelming tourist craziness that Mexico seems to have become. It was a beautiful quiet spot with our patio on the ground floor giving us a spectacular view and access to the ocean. Perfect! The suite was large and comfortable, the staff was very attentive and friendly and the food was fantastic!! Tony was a wonderful host that quickly took care of all our requests. We will definitely be back.

Situated on the beach, smaller property, with rooms that were sufficient enough but in need of a thorough cleaning. There are wooden doors to all the rooms so they were continuously being slammed by other guests or the wind was suctioning them back and forth bc there was not a tight seal to them. Guest noise echoed from the hallways and you could also hear the guests in the next room. If you are a light sleeper bring a sound machine or use the fan app on your phone. The bathroom had "hair spiders" stuck to the bottom of the door (cleaning oversight). The room was always sandy regardless of being cleaned (cleaning oversight). Pros: Had a large supply of water in the room and a coffee machine. Working TV with limited sound and a balcony. The rooftop bar/deck area was nice and spacious great for stargazing. This was a place to sleep only and not to hang around and use amenities (for me). Tony was helpful when I needed questions answered. This place has great potential!

Villas DeRosa is a beautiful location, with a view of the Caribbean right from our balcony. Tony was very helpful with anything we needed. Really the only thing less than ideal was the couches were very hard and uncomfortable to sleep on. The bedroom had a comfortable bed though. Everything else was great!

Clean and friendly off the beaten path
Overall we had a fantastic stay at Villas deRosa. The hotel is located right on the beach. Tony and his crew are super accommodating and friendly. There are plenty of beach chairs for everyone. While the hotel does not have a restaurant (it used to have a roof top restaurant but that was shut down during covid), guests can order food and drinks which will be delivered to wherever you are on the property. This is done thru Whatsapp. While at first I was skeptical about the response time I have to say it became one of our favorite features. Quality of the food and speed of service were very good. The property right next door does have a small restaurant/bar. However, the food is more "gringo" ish. Our accommodation were pretty basic but comfortable enough. It came with a kitchen that had most of what we needed. A/C is provided in the bedrooms but not in the living room/kitchen. We really did not need it there anyway. The bathrooms are basic and the hot water in the shower can be a bit tricky to adjust but not a huge deal once you figure it out. Overall we would stay again and would recommend the property to people that are looking for simple, clean and friendly surroundings a bit off the beaten path from Cancun, Playa del Carmen or Tulum. If you are looking for luxury, this property is not for you.
