Back on Track
We were made aware of previous poor reviews and an ownership dispute. However, the new team were welcoming, friendly and helpful. Whatever happened before our arrival, I can safely sa this place is back on track. We stayed in the North building and the rooms were fully equiped for self catering although we didn't use the facilities. There's a nice sun trap of a communal patio complete with sizeable barbecue should you want to avoid restaurant prices. Overall, a great stay made even better by wonderful, helpful staff.

The thieves charged us twice.
Hotel was reasonable enough. However, they charged us twice and, when we called to dispute the charges, we were given an excuse that they're "under new management" and to call our bank. No help whatsoever or mention of a refund.

We had a great time. This is a lovely boutique hotel. Very nice, comfortable and charming. Great price and an awesome location. Right across the street from a grocery store, restaurants and the beach. Will definitely book it again if we go to Laguna Beach.

Wasted potential. Sad.
First of, the people working here are super nice and very helpful. Hotel is in an amazing location, but is just really old. Everything looks so old and outdated. Tile cracks everywhere, ac falling apart and partially not working. We had a tiny heater in the room that kept us warm during the night. Wallpaper bubbles and coming off everywhere. This hotel should be considered a motel. Needs to be remodeled so bad. Could be such a beautiful hotel. Sad to see the potential wasted.
